I relate completely on the comfort zone thing. Since I was 8 and started going on holiday with my family regularly I began to be ill every holiday and I always thought at the time it was due to being near the sea, as I got much older I realised I had some sort of holiday anxiety where I was so excited to go away but my brain almost knew I was also anxious about going somewhere new and being in a place different to where I felt comfortable.

Certain things that I absolutely WON’T leave home with no matter how ridiculous it seems haha

Rolling tightly and neatly into compression cubes, normal packing cubes and ziplock bags(such as the ones that bikinis and other clothing iteams come in and you can remove the air in non crease items too which decreases the volume of the items even more) and using flat toiletry and make up bags etc is the key to packing as much possible into a smaller case, it also helps to prevent creasing too..
