‘Yeh Na Thi Hamari Qismat’ is the story of two sisters who have different aspirations in life.

This is why we have so many badly-behaved men: because of mothers like this. Mothers who encourage their sons to be lazy while their wives work. Who excuse their faults. Cover up their mistakes. Find fault with their wives. They don’t realise the damage they do, all to stay relevant and in power in their son’s lives.

@@neetashah1572 Agreed. Mothers who favour sons, mothers and sisters in law who mistreat their son’s/brother’s wives and so on. The problem is women often do this out of insecurity and jealousy. They want to stay relevant in their sons and brothers lives so they interfere in their marriages and cause trouble. Then there are those who would love to give their daughters more attention but the patriarchal setup in their homes, prevents them from doing so.
The thing is, fathers in law are usually never bad, don’t know why it’s always the mils. On that note, if the father had been this strict since his son was young, I don’t think he’d see this day.

Exactly. I don’t think that the father is all that good… parenting is done by TWO parents not just the mother. Tarbiyat ka blame should be on two of them not just her. Also, the way he argued with his wife Infront of his kids, maybe now they’re older so they’re able to comprehend it better, but if this was the way when they were young as well, the impact on the children can be seen in the way they are behaving now. Children see what parents do and model that behaviour.

@@mdshadabanwer7405 Yes but this household looks like they have given all responsibilities on her. Maa ke haath aur biwi ke haath ka khana khane ke liye banane wale ko sukoon to do. Naukar bana ke kyun rakha hai? The mother and sis dont want to cook, so you can understand its because not every woman wants to cook daily. Maybe sometimes as leisure would be great.

I find it so crazy how when a Pakistanis womens daughter is married and her husband is so caring he listens to her he appreciates her opinions and is supportive of her the mother tells the whole world my son in law is soo good he treats my daughter so good he listens to her this that but when her son does the same with his wife then the mother in law calls him “run mureed” and that she done magic on him and so on.. daughter in laws should treat her mother in law like a mum too and the mother in law should treat her like a daughter, a women should never become a womens enemy no matter what the relationship between them.

I wish Pakistani society saw women as more than just wives and helpers. We need to educate our women and let them in the work force, marriage is nothing but an economic proposition in our society. If women are independent and financially stable they wouldn’t need to endure such horrible behavior
I wish pakistani society saw and treat women according to islamic teaching. Before islamic revolution , women were treated as a slave . it is the kindness of islam that has made women a queen of a family.

@@amberinezaki969 exactly. my mom on top of going to school, working part time, and raising 5 kids, she was still forced to literally clean the house, cook, and basically be a slave. my dad didnt do anything except leave the house so HE could get a peace of mind........ i had to step in at the age of 8 and raise four kids to help her- its so sad.

Boys learn to become providers and caretakers of the family from their father. They learn kindness and friendship with the wife from their fathers.
So this father in law acting all just and righteous isn't a true representation of his character. Maybe this man suddenly woke up and saw the light of being a good and kind man... after the damage is done to his family.
Men also influence their wives from the beginning and women influence the man. It is the responsibility of both husband and wife to remind each other to be kind. If he had done his responsibility as a good husband to kindly correct his wife's cold and harsh feelings and behavior from the beginning, his wife wouldn't be so demented with the daughter in law now.
I am 5 years married and my husband doesn't like it if I am even accidentally rude to someone, he will remind me afterwards when we are alone without all the yelling and shouting like this man did. Since being married I have grown and become 200% nicer than I once was, all thanks to my husband. I know my son will learn to be a true man and husband from the example of his father. Inshallah.
Its depend on the situation....If the father was a Professional then he couldn't spend whole day with his kids and if the mother was a housewife then she was present in the house all the time,so the kids learnt everything from the mother....So,You shouldn't blame the father without knowing anything,just because he is a man....As we know If the father of the family is the breadearner and the mother is a wife then the mother's responsibility to take care and give good moral values to the kids....If Both husband and wife are Professionals then Grandparents take care and give moral values to the grandchild
