Copy pasting my comment from the music video. As an Ahri main of almost 8 years, I'm just glad that they gave Ahri an animated video. They did Kai'sa and her fans dirty. I'm not crazy happy with the video, I expected it to be more upbeat, but thinking about Ahri's character and her story (Both in normal League lore and the K/DA universe), it makes sense that she's depressed through out all of it. I also wish that as the song went on, Ahri herself got a little bit more upbeat or happy but again, the message they went for was very solid. The actual quality of the animation/video itself was really good, although Ahri's face seemed... off in some places and her overall movements in most scenes seemed robotic, mostly in the second half after the scene of her walking down that corridor. Overall, it was really pretty and well done, but I feel like Riot rushed at some points to get the video done and the quality suffered for it a little bit.

I'll give my little thoughts about this video ,it consists of 3 parts to me(in chrono order): 1.Mind Cage. It's about hardest time for Ahri,when she isn't happy at all,in depression and being locked in her own mind without a chance to escape(lyrics: looking from a window I wanna break,asks wind to take her away from the hell),having nostalgy about her good old times when she was teenager (lookin on a photo) ,and thinks that all her dreams put her in a cage,they were against herself,against the whole time. 2.Fighting. Ahri has a fragile and beautiful soul,all this critics,like she step on newspaper "One Hit Wonders", but she find in herself power to fight ,to face straight on all her fears(looking in broken mirror) 3.Cage Opens. Then little expalanation goes on that she was hard on herself,locked her heart completely,but she needs love and forget what is it long ago. Then she throwing away all her fears and bad moments telling that it can't overweight all bright moments she had before and looking on her shiny photo while she is singing helping her to move on. Broken mirror becomes normal(that means her old scars are healed) and finally she didn't lost the one she was before,she is still the girl she was before.And Chinese lanterns mean all her brightest hopes she had before are still with her and everything gonna be alright. P.s If Evelynn video was straightforward and obvious for everyone,no secrets were told(but still masterpiece in its own way) ,Riot told us a whole dramatic story of inner world of amazing and fragile Ahri.
I agree with this! I loved this concept video but I really wish they gave her a better song. The beat is happy and upbeat but the visuals and lyrics are so sad. It really doesn’t coordinate well. Also in the kda lore it has been revealed that Ahri isn’t putting out music that shows the real her and she is having to play this role. I feel like they were trying to show that with this song.

Anyway the story concept I'll show u video told is most complex,deep and detailed with magnifique visuals. Maybe Ahri deserved better song,but..at least she received number 1 concept IMO.

I'm kinda new to your channel, great work on the reaction, and I agree, Kai'sa and Akali deserve justice with a proper concept video. Although Bailey Sok killed the choreography on Drum Go Dum.
making cinemtics is very hard and very expensive, we should be glad we have at least 2 cinematics and the cinematics are for fans only, they dont get anything only our reaction so be greatfull for cinematics :)

There is no official backstory that RIOT gave about the song yet but based on K/DA Ahri's lore - she was a famous teenage pop star but she took a time off and reinvent herself. My guess is that Ahri's sadness was all about the people that doubted and hated her before KDA and after the Popstar single release (newspaper article says "One hit wonders?"). With Ahri's younger photos of herself on the MV tells me this is about Ahri's past. And this new EP "All out" is like Ahri proving the haters wrong.
Based on the part when she step on a newspaper being malignant to the first and only kda success (at the time) "Popstars" seems to me that her sadness is referred to some events that split up the group after some time. Is not known why so much time passed between Popstars and the "All out" album. In the comics there is some vague mention, if i remember well: for example Evelynn arguing with a producer that wanted her to go on without the rest of kda. Eve then stated that a new kda album was about to be published. There is also a scene with Akali standing up for Seraphine in a discussion on a song, almost arguing with Arhi: there was much tension so they decided to reconvene later (to be more calm, to cool of the spirits) That could be a hint that in the past something similar happened, only worse, maybe leading to a kda breakup. At least this is what i'm feelin'.
The video shows us what Ahri’s life is like, Ahri as the founder and leader of the group is put through mental hell in her kda universe because of fans and the media in depth the video has a message of facing your fears and overcoming in order to become a better you which it is for ahri , her life struggle is the same as Any real life popstar and kpop star
I don't think that we're goin to have a concept for Akali, that wasn't in the roadmap, but maybe if we wait, they could surprise us. Sorry Steph, my English isn't perfect :c
I liked the Song drum go dum but the Video was not good. Dont know why most people like Ahri and Evelyn the most, I love Kaisa and Akali the most. Think Akali would be a great friend :)
