my vanishing point unit works greatt in the navhalur. Nahvulur nibs leaked on me waiting for my third replacement. I have a stub vanishing point nib in mine.
A vast array of washi tape is available at Washi Tape Shop. I have the gold Nahvalur vanishing point. The heft is as delightful as is the feel in my hand. It has gravitas. A bit of a "strugglee" on filling etc. but worth it visually and as tactile entity.
Decorate Katy with the Washi tape...YAHOO!!! 🤣😂😁😼 Mike, I hope that pen writes better than mine. I was ready to throw it across the room, hard starts, inconstancies, might want to eyedropper it if that happens. I am finding that the converters are sometimes the culprit, something about the pressure in them, so far on 2 of the pens I own.
Hiya Mike! I love all your videos they're very entertaining, informative and so relaxing, I'm embarrassed to admit I fell asleep to a few of them because you and your wife are just so so soothing. OMG I sound like a nutcase lol but really your videos are fantastic thank you so much for sharing! and about that Ferris wheel pen, from a company that makes such extra extravagant inks And elegant bottles, their pen looks like a Rubbermaid product that I would expect to see on a sharpie or something but No offense to you or your pen sir but a company that has built up their inks so much should put a little attention into the design of their pen. Even if they have fancier pens they could've added a little something to this one. But all your writing instruments are magnificent what a collection
Back in Australia 1970’s backwards in time. If you went anywhere by shanks Penney you were walking places rather than, push bike 🚲, busses 🚌, trains 🚆, ferries ⛴️, trams 🚃. I’m enjoying your TH-cam channel. Keep it up please. Cheers ☕️☕️😎 Dave
I’m intrigued by the Tool Tote. I hope you’ll do a second take on that one after you’ve had a time to experiment with loading it up. Which is the section for chocolate? That bread Aero looks wonderfully Steampunk to me. I’m sorry it’s so heavy; I don’t do well with heavy pens these days. But I love the way it looks and that you have one. It sits in your hand as if it had been made for you.
I have the same model Eclipse, and yes, mine tends to dry out as well. I just keep an ink sample vial with water handy to do a quick dip, and it goes. You could use a VP nib unit in it, but you can't do the reverse according to a video I saw online. The difference is the stud that aligns the nib unit in the pen on the Eclipse is wider than the channel in the VP. Thus if you use a VP nib unit in the Eclipse it has more wiggle room rotationally!
You know, since I made this video I've actually been using a VP nib unit in my Eclipse, and it never dries out. I couldn't get a VP unit to work in the pen when I first got it, but they totally do now. And they don't wiggle. Weird, but it works.
Do I see correctly at 14:31 that your Aero Oxyd has an o-ring after the threads? My Aero Orange didn't have an o-ring when I bought it about a year ago, and I feel like it could use one because sometimes the barrel comes loose from the grip. Is this a new thing that Diplomat does?
I have to completely disagree with you about the Nahvalur Eclipse. I’ve used three different Pilot vanishing point nib assemblies in it and didn’t have a single issue with incompatibility in any way.
I got one of those plastic pens from Ferris Wheel Press, in an off-white. I won't get another one. Uncomfortable, leaky, hard starts, scratchy, cheap feeling. Having collected writing stuff for maybe as long as some of the pen bloggers I follow have been on the planet, seriously, I've tried all kinds and quality of pens. This one is down near the bottom.
Carousel pens are not worth the money!!! You buy them for the art on the box. They are lousy writers. Take your chances with Jinhao or Hongdian instead
I don’t think I’ve read or heard anyone claim to enjoy writing with these pens. I guess there must be folks who do, because FWP doesn’t seem to feel a need to change them.
That Diplomat Aero is BEAUTIFUL. I ordered it today with your code. Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
Idk but when you say “winter is coming” I have a fearful thought and want to re-wind back to summer. I love your videos. Keep them coming!
They sent you the washi tape Brian never found for my order! And extras too! Proof that he's out to get me. 😂

That’s weird. What converter are you using in the Eclipse with a VP nib?
I also got a VP nib to work in mine(I kind of broke the nahvular nib oopsie!) I use a cartridge to ink my nib.
@@inkdependence total pilot with con-40 that came with it
Ooh I’m real jazzed about the Eclipse - can’t wait to see your review!

Thanks for the vid
Nahvalur Eclipse: One hand click for smaller hands…turn it upside down and press it on the table.

You know what? It DOES. I just went and checked the rest of my quiver of Aeros, and none of them do. New feature, maybe??
Well spotted!
I love the diplomat. it is one of my favs. . Do you have the diplomat a2 excellence?
Yep! I have the Excellence and the Excellence Plus. Both are great.
mikeee what is your coffee mug?!
It's one of these: www.rickshawbags.com/mighty-pen-mug
Does Atlas sell that colorful storefront sticker? I can only find a boring one.
I don't know! I don't think I've seen it, but I bet they would if you sent them an email.
Med nib on diplomat?
That one is a broad, and it's pretty great.

Read further down and I see now that you’ve gotten things to work. Thanks for the video!
Yeah, it’s weird. It wouldn’t work with them at all, but now it does? 🤷🏼♂️
What is your fur child’s name?
Our cat's name is Katy Purry. She likes to get her pig in the middle of the fair.

I got one in a mystery package a few years ago and had the same experience.

Yeah, it doesn't feel like a good pen, but I couldn't really say that before trying it out. I'm about to go and fill it with ink.
