Talking about some customers I had last night.. Trust me, they come in all shapes, sizes and varieties of goodness to down-right fails.. It is an entertaining job, for the most part. (:
Haha ur funny. I work at a gas station and one time i locked the store up and put the "be back in 5 minutes" sign on the door to use the restroom and when im sitting on the toilet i hear a guy yelling "been 5 minutes dude come on pinch it off!" So i pinched it off and came out and there were 4 other customers and i said to the guy "damn man do ya mind?" And he said "yeah i do mind" and i said "well i didnt create bowel movements" and he shut up and felt really stupid.
The bathroom part is so true. I work mostly night shift and there is a couple of sketchy motels a block away which usually brings in some crackheads at night. Hardest part is keeping yourself entertained.
I lost my job that was my main source of income then on the quickness and out of desperation just to be in the positives on all of my bills, I snagged a fulltime Gas Clerk job at an AM PM/Gas station⛽. 😒🤔😐 Needless to say I have worked/had alot of terrible jobs in my life I knew Immediately I needed to find a better job. Not knocking anyone who decides to work at a Gas Station, but the Lottery and scratcher customers are the worst. I was even more worried at this Gas Station I worked at only for 2 weeks i was suppose to be a graveyard shift 10pm to 6am clerk I disliked that they don't close their doors late at night the inside stays open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. So I said to myself Nah! And I quit right after finding a better job. #BlueCollar god bless. I hope everyone finds a jobs they love and can hold onto.
I worked at a gas station in a small farming own, it was the only place in the town so it was always busy. I really loved it, but I moved to the city. It's been about 7 months since I've moved into the city and I was working a warehouse job. Tomorrow is my first day at my new job working at a different gas station in a big city, I'm pretty nervous.
You had me CRACKING up... I live just a week bit south from you. I live in Western PA. haha and I have an interview for a gas station literally a mile up the road from my house tomorrow and it's my first interview, first real job search, and I have all my resume and recommendation letters and yada yada. So of course I'm nervous as could be... any idea's of what I should wear to the interview? I mean it's a smaller gas station 8 pumps, small hot food area (yeah I'll have to cook too), large potion of the place is just snacks and shit... and that's the thing I don't know what to do for tomorrow is... what to wear... like everyone says "dress presentable" but that could mean just make sure your clothes are clean to... dress in dress clothes... I'm assuming they don't care THAT much just don't come in with clothes that are ripped, extra saggy, and stained. lol But what do you think? (that's if you even if see this in time. haha)
People are delusional and they need to assure themselves of being better than someone. As a gas station attendant you are always on the receiving end of peoples dissatisfactions. But over here you are lucky to get a job in a gas station because they're being bought up by middle eastern business men. p.s there should be more like you.
There should be a federal law where every convience store / gas station should have at least two people on duty on every shift, it can be a very dangerous job.
I love how people that are "better" than you can't figure out how to pump their own gas. How the fuck can you look down upon anyone when you can't handle the simplest of tasks?
the law about leaving your pump is not what she said....you get fined if the customer leaves more than a 10 foot gap between the handle and yourself. You CAN sit in your car. Also its not safe to have your hand on the handle while pumping as a spark could ignite from clothing,phone, electronics in pump ect. Its more safer to be inside your vehicle during fueling.
i was getting gas one time-was at the back pump and a car in front of me and the sides-someone saw me finish gassing and got in back of me to use the pump-well i still had the 2 cars in front of me and on the right-so this geniuos wants my pump but has blocked me in!so i watch him in my mirror thinking he will realiaze his mistake-and he just sits there!?-almost a minute goes bye i get out of my car very mad that i have to explain to him whats going on-then he moved before i could tell him!

I am sooo sorry you go through this, I seriously dont know what is wrong with certain customers, I could never work in a gas station but I work in fast food so I know your pain it sucks soo bad :'''( do you still work there now? And why are the cursing at you thats messed up ugh :/
