I do pity the 3 sisters having to put on hold or just not pursuing their dreams and goals for the sake of their disabled brother. It's just unfair they have to set aside their personal pursuit. I do hope that they can still have some achievements and find happiness along the way.
sherise (jayden’s sister) made a comment on the previous episode that their parents do allow them to pursue their own lives and goals they have, and that their parents are still jayden’s primary caregivers. although i still also do wish them all the best!
I just felt that although his parents also love the gals but still it’s obvious that Jayden is still their priority and having their daughters worrying about pursuing studies overseas and starting a family in the future is unfair. I hope their parents can make plans so that the gals no need to worry and put on hold of their lives.
I am glad to see that Jayden has 3 caring sisters and they do not feel he is a burden. For Atira and Seana, I do hope their parents find more help for them as the parents are growing older and they may not be able to care for them in their old age.
my siblings and parents moved to Canada for my special needs brother. It has never entered my mind or heart of any resentment. He got the necessary and vital help and education. Seeing him happy was worth coming here. When we love a sibling, it is not a sacrifice of dreams and goals...we just adapt and I love my country Canada. While most of us siblings have no resentment, one has held a grudge against my parents. It is shameful, because she could still have pursued her dreams and goals. No one stopped her. She has 6 kids etc etc...how could you resent anything when you have kids...Her attitude is just hateful!!! My brother who benefited coming here, was so happy, with the education and help he received...he would have been treated and lumped in with the mentally disabled and had a very sad life but instead he had a full happy, loving life till the very end....These 3 loving sisters will do fine...I pray for all
although its unfair for jayden's sister to shoulder the responsibilities to take care of him. but im glad that all the 3 sisters are super loving towards their brother. the family bonding is really very strong. and i believe the family will overcome their difficulties.
It’s heartening to see that despite the children’s developmental delay, they are still continuing to make progress and improvements. They are very interactive and look so happy and well-loved surrounded by their families. I am sure they will continue to make good progress! As a disabled person myself I would not have a good life without my family When people back in the old days they would put me in a place where I would never be seen but now people have help and a better understanding world so please on behalf of the disabled people please don’t give up hope for them they don’t have a voice but I do the family’s do
I’m disabled physically and my parents do more for me than they would if I wasn’t, that said I would never expect my sister to care for me when my parents are no longer here. They didn’t sign up to have children or make that choice, telling the other siblings they have to look after their disabled sibling is wrong. Ask if they want to by all means, but don’t force them.have a plan in place if they don’t want to drop their life and suddenly care for their sibling like that.
Agreed. There was something that rubbed me the wrong way when Jayden's mother openly said "it's the girls' responsibility to take care of Jayden when they are not around". And the confident tone of how how the mother said it too. Yikes. I wish the parents' would be more proactive in putting a financial plan in place so the burden isn't so hard on. the girls.
its admirable that the sisters are thinking of how they would care for Jayden when the parents are no longer around. for me, I have made up my mind that my son will go on to stay in a home for disabled. I don't want him to be a burden to his sister.. she also has her life to live..
I wish the twins' parents could access BBC iPlayer! There's a TV show here in the UK called There She Goes, and it was written about the writers' daughter who has DYRK1A!!!

As for us being normal beings, the only support we could give to any families going through such challenging situations, would be being understanding and accepting that its absolutely fine while such similar families as mentioned in these series, are around us. They are equally normal. Providing such cushioning effect would b a great feel to every parent handling these kids. I've got my 7years old niece who've got autism and ADHD as well. I completely comprehend. To all the strongest parents out there, keep it going. We love you!
I can't help feeling sorry for these families but glad to see that all are very positive in facing with the situations. I sincerely wished everyone will be able to take the challenges one day at a time and hope that in the near future with some scientific breakthrough they can be cured

it takes a village to raise a child it takes more than a village for special needs children and beyond the lifetimes of the parents I can empathise with the burden of the siblings that may affect their future brave on! hope miracles can happen.
It’s so concerning that Jayden’s parents expects and pressures his 3 sisters to look after him. They did not ask to be brought to this world, he is not their responsibility. They have their own lives to live and by doing that they are robbing their daughters from their future. They will have families of their own and their own kids to look after in the future. At least with Zakir and zakuan’s family I’m glad to see that the parents did not force the other children into looking after them.
The fact that this media is produced by the Singaporean government makes me nervous because I know they will only show me what they want me to see. Singapore has committed terrible human rights abuses (like many other countries, including my own) . I wish these families the best. Their strength and compassion for their children is admirable. I hope all the other children in the world with disabilities receive care and love, and eventually a cure.

Hopefully they can hire a caregiver with the inheritance, if they aren’t able or don’t want to care for him full time
