For those who argued jennie is leader, yg offered the role to her bcuz she is the longest trained there, leader doesn't mean have to be that. As you can see in this video, even jennie is always finding jisoo for help, not just bcuz jisoo is the oldest but she just have the leadership qualities. For example, a leader supoosed to say 1 2 3 n give speech saying tq and all that, when jennie was given the chance, she doesn't know what to do and immediately turned to jisoo. No offense btw! In their heart, jisoo is their forever leader n oldest sis who is always behind them 😘😘

IMO, Jennie and Jisoo team up to be leaders of Blackpink. Jennie plays the diplomatic "Good-Cop" while Jisoo plays the ready to rumble "Bad-Cop" when dealing with YG. Jennie rules by consensus and her charm. Everyone wants to please Jennie and Jennie is very collaborative and supportive of everyone. Jennie also acts as the primary channel to YG management, bringing forth any concerns or questions that the group may have, while bringing any YG directives and communications back to the other members. The other members have been quoted as calling Jennie their "Captain". Jennie was actually offered the position of Leader by YG, but turned it down saying Blackpink didn't need a Leader. Jennie is the think 10 moves ahead diplomatic leader and she probably saw that YG would use her to impose their will against the other girls and didn't want that burden. Jisoo is a no nonsense strong-arm for Jennie and the group. Jisoo is not afraid to tell YG no and does not put up with any mistreatment of the group or any members by YG. There is a clip of a senior VP of YG trying to convince the members to perform in a certain venue when they were already overbooked and overworked. The other girls were quiet but visibly unhappy about the proposal. In the video, Jisoo was having non of it and argued against it. And later Jisoo was interviewed alone and said the VP made the members feel "most uncomfortable." This was early on in their careers, just after debuting. It is very rare for any idol to be that combative with their management, especially so soon after debuting.
