I feel like those clothes were really bad too. But even if they weren’t, they were still ridiculously expensive only because they have the Kardashians name on them.
They're probably barely involved with the clothing brand. They have hired some bad designers (and probably cheap) to design the clothes and other people to do all the work, and the only job Kendal and Kylie do, is to be the faces of the brand. Basically another cash grab by them.

I totally agree with the price of these clothes being waaay to high, as it is likely that this is only because of the Kylie/Kendall name attached to them. However, you should be a bit more aware of the fact that cheap clothes like the ones you say you prefer to buy are only that cheap because their manufacture completely disregards workers rights and the environment. Everyone loves a bargain, but maybe just keep that in mind.

For bigger purchases that are not easy to find second hand like winter boots I save up in advance. I will still end up buying stuff from regular cheap brands sometimes but it is a lot less than I did before.

Shopping ethical and look out for brands that pay their employees well is a good thing to look at when you have the budget to spend on ethical clothes. Fast fashion is to stay away from for example.
I was going to comment this too. I've also shopped bargain for most of my life too. However, lately as I have learned more about fast fashion and how it can affect the environment, I realize that it is worth it to pay more for a quality item that was made using sustainable methods and that will actually last longer than cheap clothes anyway
