This game is such a refresher for the genre, everything feels so polished, so many QoL features, combats feels amazing, and on top of that the game is stable and super optimized for me. Super duper pro fast travel tip for single player mode: check "spawn death package in front of you after death" in server options, build bonfires around the map. After death/suicide just choose bonfire where you want to spawn at. 6 bonfires available per tribe.
How do you use the 3 parts to build the personal portal? I can't put it on my hot bar. There's no crafting place that makes it. What do I do with the 3 parts?
Yeah they arent near as good as the other ones. But they can be useful if you have two separate bases and just need to grab equipment from the other one
Its the first activated ability for the hammers. It gives superarmor (i believe 50% damage reduction) for a short time. Its good to use especially in those mechanical dungeons
I don't like such teleport restrictions. In games like V Rising I see the value of restrictions for PvP, but in PvE it's simply a waste of my time. That's even more true for Valheim, where I find the travelling times atrocious and the sea voyages just boring. At least there should be an option to turn the restrictions off.
Almost every complaint I've seen that people have about this game is something that can be easily adjusted by the server owner/player. It's like everyone reviewing this has never played a survival game before, it's easily one of the best I've played, especially for early access.
@@CobraSniper1331 No its not. few things early on I can confirm are not accurate post-beta. I stopped watching after that, as no way know if the rest is still true post-beta.

I really wish the home portal was connected to the world portals, tbh. Feels extremely limited as it is atm.

Can't teleport ANY materials or tames? Why even bother....Especially when there is already regional portals
@@ElenyaNolan-yu8tw That is incorrect, all your items and the mount you are riding on you can teleport through the large portals.
You can also change this in the settings

i just placed 2 in different locations and now it is saying portal node locked this is way complicated

i just figured it out, you craft it on the mysterious stone table which you also get it from one of the dungeons.

Map Coordinates for each of the portals would be great!
So, basically, build a base near each of the biome portals and you are done. Right? (assuming you are playing solo or with friends and not pvp).

Absolutely! They reset fairly quick, not sure exactly how fast but under 1.5 hours for sure unless that got changed

You can change it in server settings to allow items using personal portals.
So if you are playing solo id recommend it.

How do you get the blue crystal? I can't find it anywhere. This game's teleportation system is horrible.
Blue crystals used to be able to be found in certain chests, but since ea released ive only obtained them from killing bosses
So I saw a horse running about, can those be tamed for a mount?
Currently mounts are: alpaca, jaguar, llama, ostrich, and snow leopard. I dont think those can be tamed, but ive never tried trapping them lol

You have to defeat the ape boss to be able to use them sadly

It was my friends that built it, but im pretty sure they used wood pillars to support it all

I found that pillars are unable to build in water, but foundations are fine.

Well I guess I'm going to build next to the rain forest main portal then since the personal portals are useless. That honestly needs to be fixed.
