- Police are searching for a person they say attacked an elderly man Monday in the parking lot of a Publix in Daytona Beach Shores.
If the assailant's wife paid with a credit or debit card she should be easy to trace.

I got a call from TJMaxx one time asking if I picked up another bag not belonging to me as patron in front of me was missing something. I definitely didn’t take it but they kept quizzing me. I never felt so insulted. It just reminded me cuz it’s easy to check if people used credit cards. I call ppl like this pandemic pukes. Awful.

Yeah they have to subpoena the company after they get a judge to sign off on it. Basically signing off this person who may or may not be involved rights to be violated and put on blast for the public to see then hopefully after all that the old lady would have to be willing to tell on the guy or they would have to get ANOTHER court ordered subpoena for her to stand as a witness. The problem is Nobody was seriously hurt therefore I doubt the court will take this as a serious matter
Women was victims wife. Broke the Microsoft Suite pro and there are 24 live feeds inside store and 4 live in parking lot. The data from Sunday's feed has been removed by vendor. Most likely police are watching it now.

Though I do agree that elders need to be respected. However, not all elders are entitled to it. Think about some of our other elders in this world who think they are entitled to respect. (Karen’s and Ken’s) Think about how awful they are. And they can’t respect anyone. “Treat others how you want to be treated.” So it’s not only about respecting elders. It’s about giving respect. Now, this situation was uncalled for and cruel. So I am not speaking to this situation. Just about a general rule all should have and remember.

Good to hear that he has been apprehended but, probably that was Capozzi's beloved elderly grandmother that was told by the older gent to give him space in not so nice a way. (her husband apologized) My cashier friend next to me was punched in her stomach..while 8 months pregnant! This was all back in the mid-seventies ... but things are getting worse, the Bible predicts it.

Our outing may be the park up the road or the backyard. We will sometimes stop and talk to our neighbors. I order online anf have things delivered. If I need groceries, I am in and out in 15 minutes, or I order and pick it up. I try to stay out of the mix of the lunatics who are using this pandemic as an excuse to get their frustrations out on others. Go see a therapist. Work on yourself.

If they were Trump supporters, which they probably are they most likely paid with a food stamp card and they can be tracked that way.
All I know is that there are cameras everywhere now. Cameras in the store, cameras in the front of the store, cameras in almost every business, cameras in neighbor businesses, cameras cars, cameras cell phones, city street cameras, motorcycle/ bicycle cameras, law enforcement cameras, first responder cameras, GoPro cameras, and the list goes on. Who’s willing to do the work to get the video film footage? What about credit or debit card usage? Was a credit or debit card used in the store? If so, it will trace back to someone to start a real criminal investigation for assault.
If I see this happen, I would go directly to the cowardly attacker and punch his lights out and educate him about respecting your elders and others. If that was my family member, I would find the attacker and help him understand the errors of his way through physical reinforcement.

@@buzza2077 It all depends on how politely the victim asked for his space. Some cultures can get very sensitive and prickly if abrupt and sharp sounding "requests" are made to close relatives. In their declining years both my parents had to put up with disrespect from people who should have known better. I have lost count of the number of times my father was sharply reprimanded for being in the wrong queue by some tetchy shop assistant. All mood changes when I make it clear this gentleman is with me doing his shopping. In fairness most customers would understand and let him through but the store employees in some big supermarkets were the worst. I'd say there were two of them in it in this scenario but the Italian will get the chop, as usual.
Discipline and self-control are the two things that come to mind. There is no excuse for that type of behavior for we are in this world together and we must respect each other.

It was up until two generations ago that kids were taught precisely that and had it drilled into their heads by their parents and their teachers. Since then parents have gone into hiding and teachers are showing kids how to be oppressed victims to whom society owes them deference, instead of doing the responsible thing and treating others they way they want to be treated.

According to the police report (after they caught the man and woman, Peter Capozzi and Mary Shea), this is approximately how the conversation went between the man and woman. He said the old man was completely out of line to tell his girlfriend to maintain 6 feet of distance from him, because she has some kind of medical experience.
Like wtf? I know punching a random elderly stranger is a good sign someone is a complete nut, but his "reasoning" for doing so really sealed the deal. He's a real sick one. He showed no remorse even after finding out the elderly man was recovering from heart surgery and received a huge bruise on his chest from the punch.
The filth responsible, Peter Capozzi, even tried to claim afterwards that "I didn't even really punch him, he bumped into me and fell down on his own", despite the medical examination showing the severity of the blow the elderly man received. Disgusting and pathetic.
Peter Capozzi and Mary Shea are the two scums responsible for ganging up on, attacking, and potentially killing this defenseless elderly man who did nothing other than ask for his personal space to be respected (per the guidelines of every health organization and the store itself).
The two culprits, Peter Capozzi and Mary Shea, are both degenerate narcissistic trash that casually harm innocent people with zero compassion and zero remorse. Even now, Peter Capozzi tells members of his family "I wish I had punched the old f*** harder and actually killed him. He deserved it." His girlfriend, Mary Shea, agrees with this sentiment at every opportunity. Even now, they both believe they are the victims and did nothing wrong. They are actual monsters.
