It really is too bad you got stuck running in that run group. Had you been in group 2, you would have had great battles with the Stock Moto guys and no doubt in my mind you would have hit a 1:35. It's frustrating for me to watch this video and see how much momentum you were losing in so many key areas of the track! NCK, put these guys in the SM class and just gap them accordingly, based on who is running in the ICC/Mod class. Great video Jay and excellent save on the formation lap!
Fun to watch. It seems like the 125cc you have to go power on sooner in the corner like you're anticipating the exit start point vs the much more powerful 250cc. Like a 4 cylinder vs an 8 cylinder car. Fun to see both drivers and carts warm up and get increasingly more aggressive.
Dude, it's crazy how much top end power that beast has! Just watching how you can come side by side out of a turn with a stock moto and just pull past them so quickly is insane. Video turned out, just sucks we ran out of battery power to capture the end of the race...
I think it may have been bump related.. Karts get very erratic over bumps. A little load up on the chassis can be a real handful over bumps. Especially at those speeds. Or fluid on track
That track looks hella fun. I have a 135cc racing comet but cali doesn't have any tracks like that and if they do its hella far away from the bay. Sucks for me only get to drive on the streets :(
Wow, electrifying. I probably would have needed a change of underwear after that departure from the course... A question for Jason: the lines looked pretty tight on some of the exits. Obviously, you were brutally quick. Couldn't you have gained a little speed bonus coming out with longer radii?
Sonoma raceway, the big track is never open for just a practice day. A kart race is help every saturday after thanksgiving. Once a year. you can run even from the back if you dont want to race
Your right, but sometimes i let the kart go where it wants to go, every time you turn the wheel, your slowing the kart down. Then sometimes, just wrong choices.
Drivers with SF tech money and no racing chops, probably. I find the skill level is usually lower at road race events than sprint races on actual karting tracks.
@@nunyabusiness896This is a valid statement. Unless it was Eddie Lawson, Wayne Rainey or Sam Zavaglia from down under, most of the SuperKart racers I’ve seen on track there are gentleman drivers out for fun. They’re trying their best, but it’s a hobby for them at this point. All in good fun. But I would have been frustrated AF if I were Jason in this video! He was going for 35’s at Laguna and was a couple tenths off, but got stuck behind a slower, faster kart. Sounds funny saying that.
bet you enjoyed that, shame the 250 driver was a plonker, you certainly have a damn good motor not sure about the chassis, looks miles to stiff for road circuits, spent 30 yrs doin just that , in england and europe, ps i did a warm up spin in the 1980 silverstone gp and won the heat
Every 125 vs SK race I see,... Its like,..b4 they let you race a 250, they take your brain away,...What is the point of a rear wing if you can't corner due to lack of talent?
What's the point of racing on a track this wide? it's basically a full throttle no brake affair, pass anywhere you like. where's the challenge in this(other than risk of death)? Props on passing all the supercarts, well done!
I've said the same thing before. For me, I'd just do it because karts are cheaper than cars and a Miata would be the same foot-to-the-floor affair. IMO they should run harder compounds at these events so you have to brake more and make the racing more interesting.
Driving on the limit!
You can see that he has to fight the cart to keep it from spinning out... ;-)

This is Laguna Seca, 2 hours south of San Francisco. There is Sonoma Raceway also, 2.52 mile track, 40 minutes from SF.
15 minutes long? It felt like 5 to me. Great aggressive driving, really enjoyed it!
11:55
@@jrprince7213Great example of a slower SuperKart driver vs a quick 125cc driver. Also a very frustrating feeling!

3:30 360 degree spin
I heard of sonama raceway but every time i call there closed. How much would it be for me just to do like practice run on that track, 4hrs max?
You drove well, that superkart should be ashamed of himself. :o)
I drive a single gear 125 Rotax. Wish I could drive on long circuits + add a gearbox :')
At 4:30, passing the sighting lap. STARTS THE TRUE RACE. :)
what times do the superkarts get around there?
its not always necessary to be aggresive, im glad you noticed, thanks
Great driving man!
What tires are you running ?. Thanks for sharing.
3:30 How?
180° while on a straight line?
bad tires.

awsome driving really tricky with those tyres

Seems like you may have needed to move your front spindles outward a bit to control the loose condition in the center.
what type is your engine?
J, if & when i get the other CRS rebuilt, i will put that on your chassis... want u to experience first hand what puts a smile on my face!
Great driving!!..... max speed?
It seems like you were getting a lot of oversteer on corner entry, was that slowing you down?
what brand karts are you using?
Nice save, and great video. keep em coming!
Driving on the edge, I like that!
NUMBER 11 LOOKS LIKE HE'S TRYING TO CLOWN YOU BRO GET'EM
Fine laps in Laguna. It's reall punch
nice driving! how much does a kart like yours cost?
You can find a used chassis for 1500-2000, ICC motors range from 2500-5000$

How are you matching 250cc SuperKarts too? :D

So its a ICC vs a really slow ICE?
+Darryn Waugh ,haha ya. I was also a whole lap from second place behind me
Man on a mission ahahaha love them snap oversteers
Gentleman driver I would say....
Great driving
If I was driving the ICC kart I would have run away with that race, easily
nice driving bro!!!
top speed??
220 km/h
Kart rules!!, am CRG honda 125 shifter owner! =)
nice video.... great event!
9:45 was mint

Damn that is one Fast 125 kart ............
from 9:25 to the double pass.. text book stuff.
Cool vid, thanks
Wow, you must have felt like Senna in 1993 with the underpowered McLaren-Ford against those faster cars!
i want a kart sooooo badly, i mostly drive month records on rental kart tracks, but i may not buy a kart because of my parents :(
Lekker snel zijn die karts

104+_ short track
Nice off bro!
not bad considering. Looked like you got more confidence after a few laps. With a 250cc maybe you'd be doin better.
two stroke rocks!
hoho you must feed the cart with steroids!
half the power I guess normally?
best cart film for a long time.
...... just 2 more hp would had helped here :) Nice driving.

9m35s spettacolare!!
Tire pressure is too high. And many mistakes with shifts and trotle.
1:35 in a Go-Kart?! THOSE ARE SUPER CAR TIMES RIGHT?! Holy crap, I miss Karting, WTB money...
YKB Bridgestone,
Oversteer happy
I think his rear hubs were too narrow and his front stub axles had too much caster.
jajajajajajajaja
Look pretty outa control to me
