9:34 "to answer a lot of questions that hiring managers / recruiters have that they want answered in 30 seconds, right, because we have to move on with our day"
Can you make a video exhaustively listing those questions that recruiters want answered in 30 seconds?
qualified (Years of experience // tech domains // location // impact // scale and scope of work // team size // etc.) those are likely the top. Here's a video covering excellent resumes that help answer these questions quickly: th-cam.com/video/YCQyIy-1Tn0/w-d-xo.html
Great video! Next time, please include at least one excellent resume as an example 🙏

My $FANG also taught cutting fluff and focusing on impact, but recruiters had less sway. If they're in the process it's prudent to write two resumes: one technical, for engineers, and one for HR. E.g. skip LinkedIn on the technical version and include links to code. It's stronger than easily-fluffed numbers on the resume.
This is exactly what I've been thinking about doing.
Really awesome video and channel
Thank you so much 😀
Excellent advice!
Can you ask Cody to explain--in detail--his process for verifying the numbers he's seeing on people's resumes?
Can you post a good resume example for a senior engineer with 6-7 years of experience ?
We've got some here: igotanoffer.com/blogs/tech/software-engineer-resume-examples#examples
Here's my new resume video for good resume examples - th-cam.com/video/YCQyIy-1Tn0/w-d-xo.html
The question here if I don't have access to these numbers what should I do?
For freshers, what to do if they do not have quantifiable data? For example: Someone with no internships applies for fresher jobs then how to add quantitative data for the projects he/she has built?
If no internships or real world experience use quantifiable data from University projects, assignments, grades, or GPAs. These help but also get into an internship / apprenticeship and list all work experience up until this point even if they don't align with your ultimate career goals. Something is better than nothing.
@@TheCodyhinson Thanks for this!
If I send my resume, will you be able to review it anonymously? By the way, it would be an interesting column. Viewers send you a resume, and experienced recruiters roast it.
That's what this video was! You can and we'll keep it on file but I can't guarantee we'll do another resume roast soon, next one will probably be a pure resume tips video
