This is exactly why I've been enjoying a capsule wardrobe these past few months. It's fast and EASY to pick out an outfit that I know looks great when I've got less than 30 items that I love and all mesh together rather than rifling through 100+ pieces and taking more than ten or fifteen minutes to choose what I want to wear.
I bought a book in 1988 called, “Working Wardrobe” by Janet Wallach. It was the first time I heard about the capsule concept. There were several stories in the book about influential women and how they put together their wardrobes. The information was very helpful because I saved a lot of money over the years by buying the right clothes.
When you find an outfit combination you love take a picture of yourself so you remember it. Make a photo album of outfits so you can just scroll through them.
I don't work out of the home, but if I know I am going to go out the next day for any reason, I always look at the weather the night before and put an outfit together including the accessories. It takes out so much of the frustration the next morning.
The night before or weekend before beats workday morning "angst" is a no-brainer. Capsule wardrobe solids are a must-have for all women. Can't believe this video popped up again in my feed. P.S. Statement jewelry if over the top is overdone & out of style. P.S. Kudos to Vogue's '80's concept of laying out potential outfits like a "scarecrow" & organizing them on appropriate hangers for easiest closet access when dressing.
Some people like to put effort into their wardrobe, but it’s hard when you don’t know what to wear (or what not to wear 😉) Plus I’m sure she has plenty of other things to do to get ready for the day.
Sometimes my mom tries to get me to buy pieces that go with one specific thing in my closet & unless I love the item I refuse to get things that aren’t versatile. I realized a few years ago I have a very definite color palette so not only is my wardrobe interchangeable now, it’s also much easier to buy new pieces! Also layers are king. I live in a state that can be 20 degrees in the winter & 100 in the summer, I mostly have short sleeves that I wear year round & just add or take away layers as needed. Pretty much the only thing in my closet that is season specific is my hot & cold weather shoes.
In my opinion, I don't like when employers says the dress code is business casual. I think for her she didn't know how to dress business casual and this is why she had a difficult time putting her clothes together. I know I do when it's business casual.
This makeover guest forgot Rule Number One: don’t buy ugly, cheap, dated clothes like those. Stacy will perform magic, but I would start over with an awful wardrobe like that, sorry.
The audience applauded every single (and simple) idea they have… Are people really that stupid or are they instructed to applaud all the time? I love Stacey, she is down to earth and fun, but who would have thought of planning the outfits in advance…🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️?… , if they are such a struggle in the morning… Like… everyone, but the woman in this episode…?!
Just pick the outfits out in advance. The night before work.I love Stacey London.
I know! Duh!! Why stress the whole family!
,
That’s what I do
I volunteer to bring my ENTIRE wardrobe to Stacy for a redo! Anytime any Day! Stacy!!!!!!!!!!
me too!
Me too!! 😊
Stacy is Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stacey London. I've been following her for over 10 years. I learned from her. My fashion is awesome. I can also dress others..
Not enough neutral solids as basics to work with- obvious.
I lovvvvveeee Stacy London and her wardrobe ideas!

Stacy is The Adam's family chic with this look. Love it!

She should also organize her closet. It's difficult to mix and match things when they're all jumbled up like that.
This is why my mom used to say to me as a kid pick your clothes the night before so you don't fumble around in the morning
My mom too, she also made a list on the wall for us to make it easier to get ready in the morning.

I love putting my clothes together for the week
This indecisive woman should also be checked for colorblindness. It's more common than one would guess.
Putting wardrobes together and put them in your closet is key to avoid stress. One down. Lol
Trina Biscoe Great idea!
I miss Stacey you learned from her all the time
Great thing about being a nurse. My outfit is the same every work day 😂

I wish Stacy could go clothes shopping with me and pick out all of my outfits every single day.

Why does Rachel Ray still have a show?
Calm down everyone!
Pretty clothes, but I would pick them out the night before. No hassling with clothes when you have a schedule.
seriously .....up at 530am because it takes you that long to pick out something to wear??? you have to be kidding me.
I know!! Crazy!!
Knowing your style and colors is lifechanging and time saving! It's also confidence boosting to the extreme!

That's why I just have a gray, black, white and navy blue wardrobe, LOL.

So glad I’m past all that. T-shirts and jeans most days😂
What happened with Rachel’s weight? The tv makes you look heavier but Stacey looks awesome.
WHY IS EVERYBODY YELLING
You're yelling too
I think big flowers on clothes will always age you.
Cute outfits

Looks like she;s wearing a blanket .
Step 1. That closet is a HOT MESS...we gotta sort that thing out.
Stacy has a name...Stacy! Not she, she, she. That woman is so rude to not use Stacy’s name
I was wondering if she forgot her name
Some serious first world problems right here.
I'm really enjoying this show but I wish the audience wouldn't clap so often!
Just saying That Stacy is amaxing but those shoes don't go with that black dress. ❤❤❤
Stacey, please do a makeover on Rachel Ray, her clothes and hair are so dull.
Indi Rangel Stacey London herself needs a makeover. she's never well dressed
Rachel Ray's stylist did a horrible job on her wardrobe for this segment.
She never looks good, she’s too fat, for one thing,
The clothes are tacky.
her style was cheap looking and tacky
This makeover guest forgot Rule Number One: don’t buy ugly, cheap, dated clothes like those. Stacy will perform magic, but I would start over with an awful wardrobe like that, sorry.
It's dated because this was filmed 6 years ago

No, just ugly and ill fitting.

Hahaha this is pathetic! Seriously feels like I'm watching a parody.
Omg this stressed me out :(
That poncho is 5 sizes too big!
I don’t even know what business casual is anymore. Try googling it … no clear guidelines.
Would have really enjoyed hearing the guests speak.
