This song is phenomenal, it's a rather unknown song but too many brothers have painted their own version of this story and it's a tragedy that happens every single day. We need to do more, they all deserved better

Thank you for taking and reacting to my song request. And thank you for helping to spread awareness. Most veterans don't get proper assistance with trying to transition back to civilian life. There just isn't enough professionals who can relate. The suicide rate of veterans is 22 per day, some from ptsd, some from survivers guilt, but most from feeling useless. We go from being in charge of equipment worth millions of dollars and being part of the line keeping our country safe and having lives in our hands, to being told in the civilian world that we are barely qualified to flip burgers or wash dishes. Its messed up.
Thank you for this request. I've never heard it but it on my playlist now. I'm a very vocal person when it comes to the ravages of mental illness, and so much more for ou military personnel who come home with and so many can't see it. We are not made to see or commit the acts we commit against another in war, which is why it lies there waiting to destroy our minds when we are safe at home. I served for a short time but I can't deny how grateful I am to have never been in a conflict. I am out here willing to listen to those who have struggled with the darker parts of life.

This song hits different. My grandfather went into the military as a joyfully man. After he came back for the Vietnam War. He was completely different
This was the first time I heard this song, it was so beautiful.
I'm only 24 years old but I've been in war since ww2. I've watched brothers and sisters fall. I plan on joining the military soon as i get my ged. As much as i don't want to experience it again I will serve my country 1000x over.

Please, look into joining groups geared towards battle veterans. I come from a family full of battle vets. Watching them, living with them, and loving them, that is where I saw them get real understanding and guidance.

Hi Tom. I am not that great with social media. However, I have a request because of this reaction. I really want you to react to "they call me doc" by Walker Mcguire. As a combat medic from Iraq. This song is so real. It really hits me so deep that it is hard to listen to without so much emotion!!. Thank you for pointing out the mental health effects this has on so many of us with PTSD. We may never say it out loud. But it burdens many veterans every day.
there is another video for this song, that one has two veterans telling their stories.
I'm pretty sure that one is the original song and the guy singing in this version is actually one of the guys who were telling their stories.
