Although I did not get much interaction on my comments trying to spark an exchange among fans on Facebook groups, I wish to contribute my appreciation of this series. Reading through an interview on Xiao Wa (Vietnamese version) I discovered a bit more about his humanity and philosophy of life which confirmed my first impression through the character Tenjo. Indeed, in this role, we can feel the humanity of his protective love for his crippled brother Tenjiang, his respect of family values and gratitude shown to his grandfather, his altruism towards to less privileged, and his determination to seek the truth and righteousness in all his endeavours. Towards the love of his life, he showed compassion, understanding, and empathy due to her psychological struggles. We can feel all this emanating from a kind heart, in contrast with the other characters who express their love in different ways. There is some kind of tenderness in each of his acts showing his care like spending the whole night cooking the soup for Jenschang as a message of his love or seeking to reunite her with her half-brother after their forced separation of many years and sacrificing his own happiness to let go of her when he became blind while saving her life, or sacrificing his social and economic status in exchange of the marriage with his true love. There are so many philosophical messages through the simple exchange of words between them, but through the excellent interpretation by both Sun Yi (who is outstanding in her role as Jentschang) and Wallace (in his role of blind and heartbroken Tenjo), one cannot help but empathize with the two antagonists and feel the emotional impact on my own personal experience in a similar context. With the music added, the emotions in me have also reached its highest peak and have inspired me so much to seek other films starring Xiao Wa. Hope to get more interactions from you guys.
Could've been 28 episodes. Childhood to uni: 8 episodes, Liangsheng's Amnesia: 5 episodes; TianYu's blindness+Paris: 10 episodes. Which would leave us 5 episodes to tie it all up with a ribbon. Chinese authorities have confined tv shows to 50episodes or less now. I'm sure it will increase the quality of shows...

Too much depression and conflicting stories .Am glad this was real to the end 👍 But these Chang brothers were not easy 😱🙆how do you tell a lady madly in love with you to be in charge of your wedding.
LOVE is as STRONG as DEATH, and JEALOUSY as CRUEL as the GRAVE. The MAGNET between Tian and Shang are very strong. No matter they are thousands of miles apart, the true love in them pulls and gravitates them, bonding them as one in spirit together, an unquenchable fire of love. What a beautiful relationship! Thanks for sharing this beautiful drama
So sad to see Jiang Sheng lying in hospital, Tianyou is looking sad and miserable watching her in that state. Cant imagine what will happen to her. Just want her to wake up to be with her. Shows his immense love to her.
