DCS World - Glitches only in Retribution missions - VR objects flash/disappear and always VR freeze

Try changing the AI’s default start type to “warm start”, because if this is the bug I think it is, it’s basically related to uncontrolled aircraft that are waiting for start-up. Some of those will bug out and when they eventually get activated, they can cause a freeze if they get killed.
