Do you have any idea how HARD you're making the golf swing by simply moving your lead wrist TOO MUCH?
Look at how little my wrist is moving in the backswing and I carry the ball over 300 yards at nearly 50 years old.
You not only don't need a lot of wrist movement in the backswing, you actually don't WANT IT.
That's because by trying to get a lost of wrist cock, you OPEN the golf club face at the top of the golf swing.
Then you can't focus just on much force you want to apply to the club, you have to try and focus on squaring too.
Good ball strikers tend to square the face at the top of the swing, high handicaps have it wide open.
Make your golf swing simple - flatten that wrist and have a proper golf grip!

Man it's been some years since I played a round. But I think about it all the time. I remember conquering the sensation of wanting to sort of cast? at the ball, being an ex baseball player. When you get it right it really is letting go of control to gain control. Then that random round hits where you start slicing because a part of you is being lazy during the swing and you start questioning everything because you expect it to be automatic at some point and sometimes the body just says no to a round of golf.
Hi Chuck, I have watched several of your videos now, and I love how you simplify the golf swing. The camera work and detailed explanations are fantastic. Big thanks….. ❤
You’re welcome!
@@Rotaryswing I have been practising the clockwise rotational movement of the hips, feels transformational ….. excited to take it out on the course here in Oz …
@@leszbrog if you haven’t already check out my latest videos on the goat code. Simplifies things further
This isn't talked about enough. There should be a lot more videos on how the arms really just work up and down
There are a bunch of them on the site!
Isn't some degree of forearm pronation an important power accumulator in the swing, as per the Golfing Machine?
Had to watch this video twice cuz the first time all I was noticing was how much bigger your forearm is than mine haha. I get the simple wrist movement. But I hope that's not what my forearm is supposed to look like from my perspective.
When you make such a little movement in your wrists going back, do you then just rotate from the top keeping them unmoved from that flatter position at the top?
Definitely not rotating. Check this video THIS is What Tiger Woods 2000 Swing FEELS Like

When you get to impact, it looks like your hands are not leading. Your left wrist is extended at impact?
No the wrists are still leading
@@Rotaryswing I know your wrists lead in your swing or you wouldn't get the compression you do, it's just at the 1:34 mark, the left wrist looks extended. There's a slight cupping.
@@srvafool ahh im not showing impact here. Im showing how little the wrist moves from address to the top
@@Rotaryswing Ah ok, thanks for the clarification. Great stuff Chuck. The simpler the better.
Why do so many pros have what looks like a pre shot waggle that looks pretty substantial?
All the feel in the swing comes from the hands. Gotta feel that clubhead
Don’t forget to correct the weight being stacked more over the ankle instead cuz we was all about the balls of his feet 👣 just not about nja you know 😏
