Most people wouldn’t classify the G3 as an assault rifle. It uses a standard rifle round and is considered a battle rifle. Closer to the FAL.
Yeppers, any weapon using 7.62 Nato round and including the new us m7 which uses the 6.8mm round.
True, it's a battle rifle. It's an awesome though
as a gun guy so many things in this video triggered the hell out of me lol
You are not the only one 😅
I understand that the video is all subjective and that's okay. But i really don't understand the decision to have the G36 in there but not the HK 416 which is now replacing the G36 as the standard rifle of the Bundeswehr for several reasons. One of them being that the G36 with 5.56 ammo isn't as reliable as desired for military units in intense combat situations with a lot of bullets being fired. I'm not an expert so my understanding of this is pretty basic, but afaik the HK416 doesn't have this type of problems while maintaining the benefits of the HK rifles like their ambidexterity. please correct me if I got anything wrong but in my opinion if you include the G36 you should be obliged to also mention the HK416. :D Thats the main thing that bothered me in the video.
ok
Congrats on 500k! The US Army has replaced the M16 with the M4 for the reason you cited (length). The AK platform is the most widely produced out there - but the AR is right up there with it. There are estimates of between 10 and 30 million civilian semi automatic ARs in the US - and I'd wager his claim of 8 million M16s is only M16s and not M4s as well. I don't know what metrics they did the list on - I personally rate the FAMAS higher then the AUG. The G36 has a problem with it's accuracy when it's hot and fired on full auto. The G3 is mainly used by militaries that are small so they use heavier hitting rifles to be a force multiplier. The pronunciations of Steyr and Tavor were driving me nuts.
The US army never got rid of the m16 it still uses the m16a3 to this day. Maybe you’re thinking of the marine corps.
congratulations on 500k 🎉🎉🎉
YES! 500K Congratulations my Friend! Mead!
Your mum has half a million subscribers…
Nice mama joke
Just found you yesterday on the video about the KSK. Congrats on hitting 500K. Love From a German-American :)
Armalite was originally a division of Fairchild, an aircraft company. The M-16 got the moniker "space rifle" because it was made of aluminum and plastics versus wood and steel. While the M-16 has a 20 inch barrel, the M-4 had a 14.5 inch barrel. The Mk 18 has a 10.3 barrel, suitable for cqb and wearing a suppressor.
While the Kalashnikovs look and function the same, there are variations which make them different. The different models vary in caliber, barrel lengths, and selector options. IMHO this makes them different.
To your comment about the safety selector on the G36, it's an ambidextrous selector, so regardless of whether you're a left or right handed shooter, you're able to flick the safety between safe, single and full auto with your thumb while keeping your finger either on or near the trigger. It's the same setup that's on a lot of AR based rifles like the M4/M16, SCAR, etc. It's a staple on HK's guns as well including the G3, G36, MP5, MP7, UMP.....hell even the PSG-1 sniper rifle has their safety the same way.
I could be bias but for me personally its the m4 then the ar platform if you want to catgorize it as an assault rifle or just as a normal rifle its great for multi- purpose builds and functions and me personally i think thats a huge advantage woth a platform, me personally i own a ar 10 platform set up for long range use and an ar 15 pistol (8 inch barrel) and i love shooting both of them just all around easy to maintain and to shoot,
HALF-A-MILLION CELEBRATION! Congratulations!
I think the AR-15 is best assault rifle ever made, be it the M-16, M4A1, HK-416, Diemaco C-7 or whatever variant you want to choose, the reason for that is because almost every special forces, commando or SWAT unit in the world uses an AR pattern rifle, even for countries which the standard troops use something different.
UK has the SA-80, but the SAS has been using ARs for a long time, Brazil (my country) uses the FAL but SF uses the M4A1, New Zealand army used the AUG, but now they’re switching for an LMT AR, France is switching for the HK-416, Germany too. I guess this shows a clear tendency, the pros want ARs, so it must be the best.
When we did space clearing on ships we used 20” m16s. Once you learn to go over the shoulder length doesn’t seem to bother you so much anymore. I mean just look at the marines in flallujia doing cqb with 20”s
Interesting video :) I do love the bullpup design. Our "Civil Servant" was horrific though. I never got my hands on the A3 version but the A1 was terrible (when it worked) back in the day. As a left hander, I couldn't hit a cow on the a**e with a banjo either as the brass was ejected from the right hand side. I scraped my annual range because I could never really get to grips with right handed firing. The AUG for instance was interchangeable.
Wooooh let’s go 500K! Congratulations Luke 🥳
WOOOOOOOOOO! LET'S GO!! Congrats!
The German military has now received a new standard weapon, the G95, an HK416 variant. This will gradually replace the G36.
The new galil is making waves, I know some delta guys have been raving about how good that weapon system is.
I think you’re wrong about CQB. I think the future battles will mainly consist of longer distance with use of drones and longer high velocity rifles. Of course room to room will be a thing but that will be clean up work.
I don’t know for sure but near peer is going to make combine different than TGWOT
Congrats on Half a Million! The M16 has 20” barrel but they don’t use them really now. They use the M4 14.5 inch barrel and they use a 10.5” barrel. The M16 might be used by recruits in Boot Camp.
The AK should be bunched together. It has loose tolerance so it can run in sand, mud, snow and all conditions. Plus it’s simple to use and take apart, cause the Russians don’t really train there soldiers much, in war time.
500k Lets goooooo can't wait for the stream
Big Congrats on the 500K,very much deserved bro🎉👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Congrats on the 500k my friend. As for the Rifles best for me are the M4 or the HK 416 as for SMG P90 is iconic for me along with the Vector
Recently found your channel and have really enjoyed your content. Keep it up!
AR and AK variants should take up one position each regardless of the tier ranking.1.) AR variants 2.) AK variants. Or 1.) AK variants. 2.) AR variants. 3.) and 4.) are interchangeable .FN FAL OR HK G3/ G36. 5.)AUG. Anything after those are a toss up really.
500K what a Milestone. I do believe congratulations are in order. 🎉
500K is Huge!!! Congratulations
You’re used to going behind and pulling it out. 😂😂😂
😂😂 classic
Congrats!!
You can use longer weapon in house fighting you must just know how. Ask your veterans who used the FN.
You reached it..... 500.000.. Party time tomorrow... Are you shi..... me. Love your funny and low key approach... And the awesome subjects you pick up. Regards from Denmark. Alex.
On to 1 million next
The G36 is awesome.
Ok the German army replaces its g36 rifles with the hk416a8 but hk made a new weapon entirely for the Germany army and that’s the hk433 a rifle made out of the best things that the hk416 and the g36 has to offer
And recently the ksk gets a version of the hk433 in 300 blackout and that’s the hk437
The current M4 used by the army has a 14.5 inch barrel length and quickly adjustable stock. When we do CQB I just collapse the stock. I haven't had any complaints. The adjustment takes only a second, and if you're about to head into a building, you know well in advance.
To be fair. When you lift the bullpop rifle up that high, it'll take longer to reacquire your target.
500k lets go
This man never worked in Urban environnement with the SA80 to say that a bullpup rifle is great in those kind of environment 😅.
Changing shoulder is a no go with those weapons
Well, it says up top that he's a Royal Marine, I've no idea if that is true, but assuming it is, you can rely on him being highly trained, trained to a higher degree than UK general combat forces, in all terrains CQB, arctic, jungle & urban.
Frankly he will be extremely familiar with using the L85 in all its iterations & if there were shortcomings & weaknesses he'd be fully aware of them.
Firing from the other shoulder is something that becomes a training issue, techniques are developed, because you would have an issue, doesn't mean the British soldier has a major issue.
I've never fired an SA-80, but I'd sooner accept the judgment of someone who has had to rely on one, than someone who hasn't. I've spoken to a former Para who saw service in Iraq with an A3, who thought they were a 'Good bit of kit! You just needed to keep 'em clean.'
That's good enough for me.
It looks like this 'piece of useless crap' that's been in service with British forces since 1987 through a less than tranquil period of our shared history, will soon be replaced anyway, probably by an Armalite type weapon. This has happened to a limited degree with Ranger & Marine units already with the KS-1A1, but history will say the SA-80 was perhaps less than totally successful, but not the dismal failure many try to make out. If it was half as bad as a lot of people say, it surely would have been replaced awhile ago.
@@gregralph616 I'm french and worked with both FAMAS and HK416 in an urban environment and yes bullpup are not made for ZURB as a lot of people are mistakenly thinking.
They are very useful for mechanised units, as a shorter weapons allows you to easily embark and disembark but switching shoulder is a nightmare for case ejection as you get constantly smacked by the cases ejected by the rifle.
The only bullpup that are not having this problems are the AUG in its last version (with a deflector) and for obvious reasons, the F-2000
Ace combat might be if not the best way to start the stream
Your going to finally pop one of those Meades? I'm in brotha
HALF A MILLION BABY!!! Congrats!!!
Your own Police uses or used HK G36C. If I am not too stupid... 🙂
Steyr aug be like B 4-4 at Cs 1.6😂😂😂
Congrats on 500k
I’m old school I love my old FN C1A1/C1A2. I got my sharpshooters class 1 qualified with it
I'm a fan of the FAL too (own a DSA SA58 metric pattern FAL), but it is a battle rifle, not an assault rifle.
The Steyr AUG paved the more famous way for bullpup rifles....
According to the ever accurate generated subtitles and narrator pronunciation, you mean the "Stair OG" or are you talking about the "Style OG"?🤣🤣🤣🤣
It uses the AR18 internals
Congratz on 500K
wow what a great idea for a video 👍 Cograts on 500k! Just started watching this year but love your videos, watch every day.
I feel that the list is based from a US perspective.
the g3 is a battle rifle not an AR... it shoots 7.62x51 nato... shouldnt be included here.
I would only use a bullpup if I was constantly hoping in and out of vehicles. The magazine location requires you to break shooting position to reload, and a buddy would find it hard to load for you as well if you are functioning short a fully functional hand.
500k !!!!!
Congratulations on the 500K!! Keep up the good work.
Congratulations my brother on 500k 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊
Congratulations on 500k road to a million
Congrats! 500k is one helluva milestone.
The BEST AK variant is the Finnish Valmet RK95/M95. It's like an AK with all the annoying "Russian-ness" taken out of it, so, it actually works right, and, you can hit stuff that you shoot it at.
Nah polish ak variants are better
The G3 is not an assault rifle. Assault rifles by definition (which the video itself reiterates in the beginning) fire an intermediate cartridge. The 7.62 x 51 is a full-power rifle cartridge rather than an intermediate cartridge. This makes the G3 a battle rifle like the M-14 or FAL rather than an assault rifle.
I still have a soft spot for the old-style M-16 with the carry handle and triangle fore end, since it was the first rifle I trained with in the military. The shorter M-4 is more versatile, but aesthetically, I still like the old M-16A1.
I used the G3, but I think we used 7.64 x 54. This was many years ago, so maybe my memory is off, or they changed the ammo since. Either way, the recoil was rather pronounced 😵💫
Congratulations on 500K!! I just wanna share my thoughts on the AK-47 real quick: It's fantastic as a reserve weapon. Yes, there are a lot of guns that are technically better in one aspect or another; these rifles are what you wanna give to your frontline troops, your career soldiers, ect, the guys who have a lot of experience shooting and know the intricacies of their weapon and how to best employ them. But when it comes to arming conscripts or reservist soldiers, the AK and it's derivatives are probably the best assault rifles out there; it's cheap, reliable, and gets the job done, makeing them excellent wepons for those guys who don't have much formal training, don't have much experience, or don't have much knowledge shooting guns in the first place. This is why I believe it is such a popular weapon.
Half million, congrats!!!
Would you please let us hear the video instead of talking over it all the time. Either talk when the video is paused or talk at the end. As it is we only hear about half of what they are saying. Sometimes silence is golden.
Congratulations on 500thousand you should react to marsoc marines in your livestream tomorrow 🎉
Can you react to Php scout ranger ragement
19:40 Bros nose on the m16 lmao
I have 3 bullpups to include the IWI Tavor, great guns
Congratulations on 500k so happy for you 🎉
The AR and AK platforms are probably the 2 best ever. Both can function on a wide variety of ammunition with minimal adaptation. The AR is huge in the united states if you consider all the variants of it in civilian hands, it is in the multiple tens of millions made. There are pistol carbine models up to .50 beowulf chambered varieties available. If you sawap a civilian upper with a military lower, you have a fully automatic weapon in most cases. When you do that, you better have an automatic fire rated bolt carrier.
The G3 is a great weapon but a pig to strip in comparison to others as the two rear but stick retaining pins are pain to pop out and then you have to place them in the stock.
What ranges did u do with the underslung?
Love the M4 and variants, never shot an M16.
Hi, my name is Tiago. I was in the Brazilian Army.
The bullpup rifles can have a longer barrel in a shorter rifle, so, it can give you more precision with less weight and a weapon that can be transported easily.
Congratulations on hitting 500K
It’s funny when I see these I try n figure out what cod named them when they put them in their games lol
Congrats on the 500K
congratulations on the 500k
M16 no 1...it is a joke😂...you lost vietnam war with..😂..im sorry im forgot that Rambo using it😂
One of the best to do it. Thank you
AK is the best around indurance and what everyone missed is the round must knock down stay down, the little sub guns are great, however not always max knock out. Though perfect urban warfare . Don't let a good rifle man catch you out in the open
😄 You finally found something I don't know much about, so I'll just shut-up and listen at this point.😆😉
500k woop woop congrats
#4 (H&K G3) is not an assault rifle. It is chambered in 7.62x51 which makes it a battle rifle (full power cartridge). If you are including battle rifles you have to include the FN FAL.
🎉🎉 so happy for u my friend much deserved and earned 🇪🇺🇺🇲🇬🇧
The G3 can be used in CQB, just not as easily as other, newer weapons. That said, a person hit with 7.62 N does not often get up again, compared to the 5.56 N round. Honestly, this list feels a bit weird. Best of 2024 should perhaps feature the newer ones of the later years, not the classic ones, even if they are great, and are classic for a reason.
The G3 being chambered in 7.62 was used as a sniper rifle as well as an individual combat rifle. I used this rifle in Columbia to protect assault teams doing drug lab assaults and material destruction. Interesting research would be the first SOG team sent to Columbia. President Clinton de-classified some of the files and they are available to google.
Man i was the german amry used G3-G36-MG3-Uzi-P8-MP5and MP7 and on top of that i knew all about the weapons everyone else used. How could you not know what germany uses? We are neighbors mate!
Let’s goooooo 501k 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Obviously through ur own experience an training know with more modular pullpup rifles the barrel is to be shorter but more power per minimum cartridge, `theocratically`. As myslef as using the SA80 A2/A3 i feel pullpup is lighter but not more reactive economically in contact?
Lots of European nations use the Tavor. It's accurate, virtually indestructible (it will be hanging out with AKs at the end of the world), and is simple enough internally that it very rarely jams. I am surprised to see the Tar-21 on this list, as the X-95 is an upgraded version that is somewhat more expensive. If we're talking about the objectively better weapon, and not the better weapon value for the cost, that should be here instead.
I don't think that the AK-103 is second. I may just be biased because I don't like AK style weapons, but they are not known for their accuracy. They can survive things that would render most guns inoperable, but their main other selling point is that they are cheap and easy to produce in volume. They aren't the "best," as their focus is on quantity and ruggedness over individual quality. Also, every AK variant is just inferior to the IMI Galil, which is used by a TON of nations. It's basically an AK-103 fused with an M-16, with the controls for both. Effectively, anybody to have training on either system can pick up a Galil and be perfectly comfortable with it (which is why so many countries use it--there is no re-training, regardless of what you were swapping from).
11:50 That's not a H&K G3, that's a "Howa Type 89". It's an assault rifle in service by the Japanese Self Defense Force. Just pointing it out for ya! 👍
"I'm used to going behind, and pulling it out."
🙄🤨🤨🤨
The H&K G3 is awesome but heavy. You got to keep a battle rifle under 8 lbs.
Oh amazing the #1 gun was a yank gun, who knew. Well that was 20 minutes I won't get back - AK or G36 out of them. Gladly I wasn't lumbered with a SA80 - our primary was the SLR - later I got to play with other toys L42a1
Not a single one of the photos was an AK-47 😂
Oh? A bullpup enjoyer? Can't wait for the arguments in the comments lol
Ak47 others follows, its has proven itself.
sa80 jams so much that the placement of the safety isn't beneficial
Good job for triggering all the gun people. 😂👍 To address just a couple of points: You can't say that modern rifles have to be shorter because it depends entirely on where and what kind of terrain you're fighting in. Short barrels aren't very effective in terrain where distances are long. And no, you can't clump all the AK variants into one. Definitely not.
I have no doubt about the durability of the Tavor, if the Israelis made it it'll work. I would've had the AK-47 higher on this list but I also have a soft spot for the Galil Ace.
He had the name wrong for the Styer
None of the best weapons in the world were able to help Ukraine, neether the Leopard, Abrams aka the best tanks in the world let alone the "game changing weapons" exempting the ak´s,. i wonder how this assault rifles that never went to a fight got the title of the best in the world?
the G3 and anything using the 7.62X51 or .308 round are battle rifles. The round is just to powerful to be used on full automatic, you need the downsized carbine rounds. That said, I will take a battle rifle over an assault rifle any day if I am not in Urban spaces.
