So, my mom’s sister (RIP!) married him back in the late 90’s (it was in ‘93, apparently; thank you, +David Cassidy). I grew up in America and had no idea who he was or what he was about, only that he was a Korean singer. My mom used to listen to his music when I was younger, so I’d heard a few of his songs. Anyways, we went out to celebrate the wedding (I think, or it could’ve been some other big occasion) at a Korean restaurant in Virginia. When he arrived, no lie, it was like Michael Jackson walked in. People were losing their minds, right in the middle of dinner. That moment, I realized he was something special, someone who his fans must’ve connected with on a big level. I didn’t spend much time with him, but the times I saw him at family gatherings (not many, as he lived in Korea), he was a very nice and humble guy. Thinking about it now, I bet it was crazy for my family when he married my aunt, as I know they all were big fans of his music prior to them getting married. Anyways, that’s all I got. Hopefully some of you found it interesting. ✌️

With the new wave of K-pop artists exploding over the past few years, though, I'm not sure if he's still popular. Back in the late 90's, however, he was one of the top dogs. If I understand correctly, he was like Korea's version of Michael Jackson. Anyways, glad you enjoyed the story! One of many in the wild and bizarre life I've lived! Lol.
I love "Let's Go Travel" also known as "Let's Go on a Trip". SO many artists have covered it (which is how i know it). SMTOWN, Ailee, etc, so I was looking forward to this. It's not a song you can easily ignore. I'm glad the North Koreans could at least clap to it.
Also here for SAMDALRI! This song has become my dopamine pill for annoying sad days in my job, I just listen to it in my head and i feel better while working ^^ Cho Yong Pil it's so cool!!!!
I came here for Kim Yugyeom of GOT7, and damn, the songs are great! Too bad the audience is dead, but I found it very exciting and I was super dancing and watching. 👏👏👏
