That confuses me too. Here in the states, nappy is a hair style. Calling girls "nappy headed hos" seems more like a being derogatory toward women than racism.
It's an adjective from the noun "Nap". Meaning a soft or fuzzy surface on fabric or leather. As when the surface of sweatpants begins to wear and nap, and then to starts to form nits. Since the black female athletes didn't have strait hair, but rather kinky or fuzzy you get the pejorative "Nappy-headed ho's."
Stereotypes apply to 95% of the people for some ethnic groups, but some people want still hate stereotypes because of the good 5% that gets in the way. Well, what about the 95%?
Why is the New Dehli thing with the indian funny? If there was a question about Poland with a guy named a Polish name, or a question about Jamaica that a Jamaican guy missed, it would be the same thing.
@yonner490 I understand what you're saying. Racism is not noting the differences between races. It's believing that some races are inferior or unequal to others. But equal does not mean the same. The truth is that genetically speaking, we are so similar that whatever differences there are are superficial. Maybe Africans dominate running because many are so poor that running is their only means of locomotion. Also it takes no equipment except shoes to do it.
When it comes to the bit about the white dude in front of the marathon i don't think that's a stereotype i think that's just a reality check. Granted I've seen white people win marathons before but i think anyone here was told they'd have to race against someone from Kenya for anything you'd back down and rethink why you're racing in the first place. They're literally faster, it's nothing against them. If anything it's a complement.
If you become the president of the united states, an you believe in white supremacy, there are chances people will suffer because of you.A statement alone cannot hurt anybody. But it is a reflection of what you are thinking, and what you would do in a particular situation. When you are triying to become the next president, people are listening to your words to anticipate the choices you will make. If this was really what she meant, it is ideed a very serious issue.
@major600 lol i agree but that just wow... that racists but its not at the same time i see what your saying but dont you thing its kinda funny in the olympics u see mainly nothing but dark skin?? not saying a white guy couldnt make it but i do believe like you said genetics really do make the difference if they didnt why dont i see just as many lighter colored people? to say all it takes is shoes on there feet is extremely harsh...
first of all the vid was funny.i could make a bad comment about any race any nationality or any ethnic group. that doesnt make it true for all of them. think about the shit u write here. do u really believe the things ur writing. if its just something to hurt the other guys feelings then i get it.
The jeopardy one should have been in the 10 spot and the hillary white supremacy should be higher
