Hillsborough County teacher named 2025 Florida Teacher of the Year finalist

The Florida Department of Education has named Dr. Clayton Nylund, a physics and engineering teacher at Howard W. Blake High School, a 2025 Florida Teacher of the Year finalist!
Representatives from the state and district leadership surprised Dr. Nylund with the announcement in class.
The five state finalists were chosen from 74 district teachers of the year, and the winner will be announced this summer.
