WTF? The woman guard is intimidated? Is she in the right line of work? Just asking. A camera is like pointing a gun? Why not explain that part of this is to educate? To show them that they have no right to privacy in public, and that photography is not a crime or a threat. That they have no right to issue orders, intimidate you, or threaten you (as he did twice) for doing something perfectly legal on a public sidewalk or easement. If they are so timid, they need more than a chain link fence. If they're too cheap for that, it's their problem.
Cameraman is also endeavoring with his efforts to protect all U.S. citizens' rights, as well as the Security Guards Constitutional Rights. Please look at the larger picture...of all of us as U.S. citizens. Thank you.
I have never understood how many people love and support the government surveillance state but freak out when a single citizen has a camera. And these same people all work at places with hundreds of video cameras.
Well put, Onus. "You can't be recording, man" but 5 feet over his head on the end of the building is a camera. This security guard was GREAT! I love it when they talk and talk and talk. And I love it that you let the guy talk and express his opinions. Great vid.
and that's why I patiently wait for your videos Matthew, I've learned so much off you sir and continue to do so, thank you for sharing, and for all you do for our rights, much respect
I can tell most people commenting here didn't see the whole video. Much respect to both of you for communicating your points for the most part in a cordial and civil way, for understanding each other and for overcoming the initial insults. F Dailey said things he didn't even have to say about his personal life and that made me respect him even more. He got the point at the end which is what counts.
Both made solid arguments. This was a good conversation. Rudeness was the price to be paid to exercise his rights. Sometimes you gotta be rude to protect something more valuable. Rights outweigh rudeness, so that doesn't make OP a terrible person. It's fair to decide not to waive your rights just because someone perceives it to be rude. These kinds of videos will help educate people more to practice respecting peoples rights and find other ways to deal with uncomfortable situations rather than resorting to attempt to squash someone's rights, which is a scary phenomenon that OP did mention in the video. I'd much rather live in a country of freedom with both rude and kind people rather than an opressed state which mandates kindness and outlaw rudeness.
I keep seeing people say this was nothing more than provocation... I can only imagine you missed the point OP made in the video. It's not enough to just be asked politely and expect someone to leave. Being polite doesn't make you right, it just makes you easier to talk to and yes it is preferred way to be cordial... but when it DOES become cordial, that doesn't automatically mean that you must suddenly expect someone to do what you tell them. That kind of expectation is like the creepy entitled "nice guy" syndrome that some people have. Just being nice doesn't entitle you to everything. OP made a point to go to that point and beyond that point because of that very reason.
That security guard was really cool once he realized you were right. Don't you wish they all went that way once they knew you were in the right? Also, the officers surprised me. Didn't think they'd be so chill. Great video, man! Thank you!
Matthew... great job... I love the way you can articulate your objectives... I also see you remained focus on the goal and don't get distracted by the side shows... I also really appreciate the work you're doing... people like you help everyone... I know you don't always feel very popular, but that's unfortunate... Because your cause is a righteous one and more people should learn from you're efforts... I personally cant do what you do for number of reasons, but I appreciate those who can, and I think all of you are doing a Great Job, keep it up..
The one guy said you're not gonna get a show, I'm not so sure he was correct about that. Taken as a whole the video was epic. Both of you had good points. Maybe I'm biased but I think more ppl are gonna have to break out cameras so we all learn, not just the cops, what a very wise man once said, "it's just a camera, man"
With all the bullshit today, I was driving home and randomly thought of this security guards words and it rings true today. Respect to the both of you.
I'm a Bay area native and besides the fact that these people need to be a little more educated I liked that fact that the police were very calm ,collected and professional.
I can't say anything bad about either of you. But, if I had my choice of who I'd have to sit next to on a long flight, I'd pick the longshoreman every time.
Pretty cool interaction... Both sides are right... It does make sense that peeps feel uncomfortable with the filming... Exercising rights....... Our Government needs to have more conversations like this... This was awesome... Everyone on the planet should watch this video!!!
If the security guard woman is so easily spooked then she's in the wrong line of work. The last thing the world needs is more under trained, fear motivated, cowards in a perceived position of power.
If you're so frightened by being videotaped in public, then don't work in public in a position where your job is to interact with the public. She's an idiot and so are you.
This guy has become smart through years of fucking up. Good for him. This was a lesson for both party's to learn one big lesson. We have to communicate with eachother.
Dear first amendment tests, you're confidence is superb and you are a legend for doing what most people wouldn't ...how are u so confident and speak so freely to anyone? honest question from a loyal subscriber.:)
I think the auditer could have been more polite to Mr. Daily, at times. Daily was being really decent. He seems to be a really, really, good man. Maybe when the employees are respectful the auditors should seek to acknowledge that and find common-ground. Educate, don't retaliate. That man is an ally. As for the a-hole tough guy in the car, he deserves no respect at all, unless he were to apologize. At the end, both parties end the exchange with mutual respect and dignity. Great video!
That's kind of the point. This backlash kind of started with the Patriot Act post 9/11. People got arrested for taking part in an AmTrak train photo contest. Free Speech zones, "In this day and age" talk and everyone being a terrorist jamming everyone up over a power trip. People are pushing the law to the limit because the little square of freedom kept getting smaller and smaller. The guy responding knew what this guy was attempting to do and rather than being cordial and respectful he decided to be a dick. It's his right, he can be a dick, but he probably shouldn't be working with the public if he can't keep a cool head.
Well done video all the way to the end. Nice to see level headed people talk. Cops were a pleasent surprise and give me a little hope that this system can be fixed.
Bother's me that somehow a female security guard being scared is more of concern than if a male security guard is scared. Why would it matter the sex of the worker, they have the same job and same expectations/qualifications?
If the female guard is intimidated by someone recording from a public space; she should find another occupation. Good job on your part and the cops were professional as well.
Ok if a camera is intimidating the women in the booth then why does she work in a place that has more cameras then most towns. She gets filmed her entire day but when the camera is held by someone then she is uncomfortable. Don’t believe it you notice how he said it is okay to film then starts arguing why he can not do it.
I have respect for the black guy. He wasn’t acting like a fake cyborg by being “professional”. He went men to men. Of course words were escalated, but at the end he was being real with it .
To me, a woman in a booth who's intimidated by a camera is not a woman. And I can say that - I'm a woman. :-) And who was that security guard AFTER the cops came? Classic 180! Stay safe!
I really liked that black guy and thought he was speaking very sensibly, apart from when he said that pointing a camera at someone is the same as pointing a gun at someone. Especially after saying that he didn't mind having a camera pointed at him and being photographed. Long video, but totally worth watching. Thanks for this video, I learnt from it.
Farless Dailey belongs to a gang and he so proud of the 96ers (the name of the gang I assume) he has it emblazoned on his right arm (up near the shoulder)
idc what anybody else thinks. that's a good dude right there. u should've got a contact number so we could've called & showed appreciation the same way we show our disapproval with the tyrants.
borinquenrum so your saying a cop that actually does his job is that unusual that they need a pat on their back when they do you are so wrong It's what their job is to follow the law the security seems like a male chauvinist does he think female police and security guards are useless This security is so ignorant
I didnt like this guy at first but he calmed down and actually sounds like a reasonable guy. The guard behind the gate I mean, the guy in the car is a wanna be tough guy and hilariously stupid.
"Don't come on this side of the fence." He forgot to add: "Don't smoke, brush after every meal, avoid fatty foods, exercise regularly, call your mother as often as you can."
That is actually one of the most impressive response from security I have ever seen, until he went on the "how do we know you aren't a f*ing terrorist" and just had to go too far. If he had stopped with the original shaming strategy.
So a camera (eyeballs) recording to a SD card (brain) is scary, but the millions of people who walk by and record, with their eyeballs and brain is okay, but walk by with a camera, and you are scaring the female security guard? Maybe she isn't fit for the job if her co-worker has to defend her..
"If you try and intimidate the guard, you're going to have a problem". Sounds like a threat. Then he says he's asking nicely. Her feeling do not trump your rights. Mr F Dailey has no idea what he's talking about. Stay safe.
The smart ass in me is dying to get out but I'm gonna keep him put away for awhile. Gotta say, this was one of the most enjoyable interactions I've watched in a very long time. Props to the guard and the officers as well. 😎
I guess when he drives home the police have dash cams. Is he going to stop them and tell them he doesnt want to be filmed?? Or is he going to turn of the security cams off. Im sure you would get laughed at. It cant work for one and not the other. Great job...
she should not have that job if she is so easily intimated!
How can someone who literally sits in a booth with 13 monitors surveying everyone not see the hypocrisy
WTF? The woman guard is intimidated? Is she in the right line of work? Just asking. A camera is like pointing a gun? Why not explain that part of this is to educate? To show them that they have no right to privacy in public, and that photography is not a crime or a threat. Google has " Google Earth" and video tapes all the world but tape a video in public and every and everyone loses their minds lol
What a nice man. Reasonable and friendly. A credit to himself.
Great vid.
great point
Ofc McBride is a decent LEO. Need more like him. Very non confrontational. Polite and articulate.
and that's why I patiently wait for your videos Matthew, I've learned so much off you sir and continue to do so, thank you for sharing, and for all you do for our rights, much respect

He called the cops on him lol. Idc what he thinks after
That guy in the Cadillac crossover that was talking all tough is gonna say those things to the wrong person one day
This was great... except for the first guy and the coward that hid in his car. A few minutes of offensiveness turned into a great conversation.
Officer McBride sounded like he hit the peace pipe before coming out, wish all officers were that relaxed.
Perhaps he did. Oakland cops have a tough job, and they need to relax a bit from time to time.
Hahaha... puff, puff, pass!
Being uncomfortable doesn’t mean you can violate the constitution.
Best 1st Amendmant audit conversation I've heard.
Good job.
That security guard was really cool once he realized you were right. Don't you wish they all went that way once they knew you were in the right? Also, the officers surprised me. Didn't think they'd be so chill. Great video, man! Thank you!
If the young lady is so scared of the camera what if there is a real threat??? Why is she the GUARD???
Matthew... great job... I love the way you can articulate your objectives... I also see you remained focus on the goal and don't get distracted by the side shows... I also really appreciate the work you're doing... people like you help everyone... I know you don't always feel very popular, but that's unfortunate... That conversation went the full circle. Glad it ended on a positive note.
Mr. Dally is a class act... Very decent man..
That F Dalley has great empathy and social skills
The one guy said you're not gonna get a show, I'm not so sure he was correct about that. Taken as a whole the video was epic. Both of you had good points. Maybe I'm biased but I think more ppl are gonna have to break out cameras so we all learn, not just the cops, what a very wise man once said, "it's just a camera, man"
Little jerk in the car.... says that shit and RUNS in his car!! LOL Love it!!
if we don't exercise our rights we lose them
the muscle analogy is a good one. when people realize this it changes their whole perspective.
Government employees take a lot of personal calls...I would've been written up...
With all the bullshit today, I was driving home and randomly thought of this security guards words and it rings true today. Respect to the both of you.
I kinda liked that cop
This is one of the most interesting.

That was the nicest fight ever.
The avg. American is captured up to 75X/day on cameras.
it would be like a person taking a job at a pet store. being terrified of animals.
dont be a security guard dummy.
F. Dalley is a cool dude, would like to set down and have some beers with him.
Good job. Thanks for sharing with us.
I don’t get how filming in Public interrupts someone’s job
This guy has become smart through years of fucking up. Good for him. This was a lesson for both party's to learn one big lesson. We have to communicate with eachother.
Well said!
- "I'm not going to argue with you sir"
- Guy walks away.
- Continues to troll and argue with him.
i love to see good encounters more than bad ones. makes me feel good.
this is a really great guy. and whe makes a great point.
This black dude is super chill. I like him a lot. He is not chicken crap.
Dear first amendment tests, you're confidence is superb and you are a legend for doing what most people wouldn't ...how are u so confident and speak so freely to anyone? honest question from a loyal subscriber.:)
I completely understand F. Dalley and respect him. That is one great man.
I think the auditer could have been more polite to Mr. Daily, at times. Daily was being really decent. He seems to be a really, really, good man. If everyone reacted like this, these vids would stop.
That's kind of the point. This backlash kind of started with the Patriot Act post 9/11. People got arrested for taking part in an AmTrak train photo contest. Security felt uncomfortable with someone outside of their property ... hahahaha
Damn, that cop was chill af.
Love how the employee keeps trying to flip it.
The poster brings up a good point I had not thought of before. We are being filmed constantly when we are in public.
Fantastic conversation. I couldn't stop watching. Great work man!
that black man seemed like a really good person.
If you're a security guard who cant confront a suspicious person, you need a new job.
You....BULLY! That camera is like a gun! HAHAHA
The conversation with the guy devolved quickly. He was nice at first and asked politely then it turned into nonsense.
At 10:12 do my Rights stop when some woman in a cage says she feels uncomfortable? NO!!!!!!
Thank you, Matthew, for taking risk to preserve my Liberty. You are a Patriot.
-Robert
Well done video all the way to the end. Nice to see level headed people talk. Cops were a pleasent surprise and give me a little hope that this system can be fixed.
Mr. Balley likes to hear himself talk.
Dalley, Farless Dalley.
That security guard was amazing. Patient, polite.. wow
Bother's me that somehow a female security guard being scared is more of concern than if a male security guard is scared. Why would it matter the sex of the worker, they have the same job and same expectations/qualifications?
Scared she'd be caught doing something illegal.
If the female guard is intimidated by someone recording from a public space; she should find another occupation. Good job on your part and the cops were professional as well.
How can you be a guard and get that EASILY intimidated?
Ok if a camera is intimidating the women in the booth then why does she work in a place that has more cameras then most towns. She gets filmed her entire day but when the camera is held by someone then she is uncomfortable. Don’t believe it you notice how he said it is okay to film then starts arguing why he can not do it.
Because the cameras filming her the entire day, their footage doesn't end up on TH-cam.
Dear F. Daley, to answer your query at 10.30.....because rights not exercised are rights lost
I have respect for the black guy. He wasn’t acting like a fake cyborg by being “professional”. He went men to men. Of course words were escalated, but at the end he was being real with it .

I watched to the end. Certainly an interesting exchange.
What's up with Dailey's " 96 GANG " on his right shoulder?
Farless Dailey belongs to a gang and he so proud of the 96ers (the name of the gang I assume) he has it emblazoned on his right arm (up near the shoulder)
The guy in the car is a brilliant display of the beautiful manners of casual Americans
Private security companies are certainly hiring some very strange people.
idc what anybody else thinks. that's a good dude right there. u should've got a contact number so we could've called & showed appreciation the same way we show our disapproval with the tyrants.

Dalley has some great points.
Police filming is whatever but I really dont get the point of filming people that are just working and not bothering anybody
"Please do not intimidate the guard she is a woman"....lol If she is being intimidated by a guy with a camera...Maybe she is in the wrong profession..
"Don't come on this side of the fence." He forgot to add: "Don't smoke, brush after every meal, avoid fatty foods, exercise regularly, call your mother as often as you can."
I will give the big fellow is due, he knows more than the vast of majority of LEO do.
TOP QUALITY FOOTAGE. ABSOLUTE TOP SHELF
I THINK HE IS LONELY AND YOU WERE HIS ENTERTAINMENT, HE NEEDED TO VENT FOR A WHILE
Really like this man. It feels like he is a very good hearted person. Very successful audit and education.
she was uncomfortable, ignorance of the law is no excuse.
That is actually one of the most impressive response from security I have ever seen, until he went on the "how do we know you aren't a f*ing terrorist" and just had to go too far. If he had stopped with the original shaming strategy.
Respect came from both sides educating each other's views sounded romantic. ..lmfao
So a camera (eyeballs) recording to a SD card (brain) is scary, but the millions of people who walk by and record, with their eyeballs and brain is okay, but walk by with a camera, and you are scaring the female security guard? Maybe she isn't fit for the job if her co-worker has to defend her..
I did skip a little but wow this is how all the opposition should walk away, informed.
And please report the guy in the car with the baseball cap to his boss. send him a screenshot of that guy giving you the finger.
Officer McBride grew up in the hood, I can tell from the slang. He is known as Blasian.
I said the same thing.... He sounds like Snoop dog....
The classic come back is" if you have nothing to hide why do you object" I will give the black chap full credit for being extremely polite
If she's that intimidated by a camera, what is she going to do when it's actually a dangerous situation?
Tough guy in shades alert...
we need more cops like this!!
Yury Arutyunov you mean with an iq just high enough to complete sentences?
Very civilized. Great video.
"If you try and intimidate the guard, you're going to have a problem". Sounds like a threat. Then he says he's asking nicely. Her feeling do not trump your rights. Mr F Dailey has no idea what he's talking about. Stay safe.

Tell ya what. You turn off all your cameras and I’ll turn off mine.
