- You have seen these effects before in films and on social media, but how are these mind bending effects created? Time displacement and slit-scan techniques are examined an explained. Footage of simple activities like walking and daily life on the street is distorted through Adobe After Effects using both the Time Displacement effect included with After Effects and the third-party Zaebects Slitscan plugin. Both techniques create a truly experimental art film look.
