When you open the bolt app, there is a map showing all the different charging points in different regions. At first glance, it looks amazing. As if all your EV charging problems have been solved. Then you spend a day with the app and realise that 80-90% of those stations (showing "available") are actually switched off. Most of them have 1-2 sessions history and less than 1kw dispensed in its lifetime. In simple words, these people are ordering these devices, installing it on the outside wall of their shops and then switching it off entirely after few days. If entirely Mumbai area, it shows some 200-300 locations. Less than 20-30 actually work. Good luck trying to find them 😂

How to find number of EVs in any area to decide whether charging business is profitable or not
30% charging point seen in maps are fake and more than 40% not working. Showing customers fake maps. I visited more than 5 and in that 2 we're not found and 3 not working. I have to tow my ola at my home place. Pls don't trust them as per their map.

Scanning problem in these bolt chargers. It does not recognises and takes time but not connects. These should have immediate response team in 1 to 2 days service.
It is not scanning problem 😂
You have to register your EVs VIN number into the app. Without it, it will scan and show "timeout error". People on TH-cam are showing demonstration that you can charge mobile phone, ecycle etc but it is not possible without VIN number of a valid EV.
