I also noticed her and hennys IG bios say mom and dad in them but idk if that was already there or not

Nurse here! Your baby will be most drawn to and stimulated by BOLD LINES and contrasting colors such as black and whites and bold contrasting colors, during the first few months of life, as their eyes learn to focus. All the love to you both

Congratulations and I hope everything goes well! Don't let them break your water because my son ended up losing oxygen and they had to do an emergency cesarean, so be very clear about what you want, and don't let the doctors dictate your birth. And also, if you do end up having to have a c-section, make sure you ask for a mini tummy tuck to avoid any bumps below your belly. They cut through all the muscles in the stomach, so it is very necessary to have this done so that you don't have a lump. God's got this!

ASMR, i would love for you to record an asmr video. I always listen so peacefully to your voice and when you were explaining the baby toys it reminded me of it. Maybe when he is here and you are tired you want to do an asmr lauren!
When you wash baby clothes: setting: delicate and use a non scented soap :) no softener 🤍 Dry it on delicate as well. Little to no heat! 🤍🤍

I am 38 weeks pregnant and I know the feeling! i am just so excited to meet my daughter, I can’t wait. I try to to tell her that it’s okay to come out everyday since 37 weeks. She seems happy where she is though lol

I’m so excited for y’all! And can’t wait for future content & seeing you as a mama! Just some healthy info on torticollis- babies are born w very soft skulls to help move thru birth canal. Majority happen bc baby has weak neck muscles or bc baby prefers a certain side to sleep on & it gets soft/flat fm that not bc parents didn’t pick baby up lol Just rem to do tummy time & help build muscles.

My son had torticollis and is wearing a helmet as a result of plagiocephaly from his torticollis 😭 I held him constantly as a baby but we’re told that the safest way to put baby to sleep is on their back which I did as a first time mom and he grew so fast there wasn’t anything I could’ve done to change it 😢

lauren ily but i’m just gonna educate you real quick, not holding your baby is not the only way babies get flat heads and it’s unfair to assume that, for me i was told in utero when i was still pregnant that my baby might be born with a flat head, and i’ve done a ton of research since then, my baby ended up being fine but i know there is other medical reasons for why this happens, it’s not always just that they aren’t held or loved
A baby having a flat head is definitely not always due to negligence. Up until babies start to sit up, they are horizontal a lot. Also plagiocephaly can be due to a baby sleeping on the same side all the time. A lot of first time parents don’t know about this and in my case I spent alot of time pumping because I couldn’t breastfeed. My child obviously had to be down during those times and when he was sleeping (aka a ton while they are tiny). I don’t think it is fair to say it is due to negligence.

I worked for neurosurgeon and will be recommended as early as possible tummy time and that will definitely keep them from getting plagiocephaly which is a flat head. It’s not just about carrying them all the time it’s just that they need proper tummy time only one they are awake and the best place for tummy time is the floor with no boppy pillows nothing around them only one there a awake

Congratulations, you guys are going to be great. Newborns have specific sleeping and even pooping patterns in the first few days of life. Please get info from hospital or look online. Those first five nights will all look a lil different, also cluster feeding! When they want to eat every 45 min to an hour and are constantly on the boob lol mines 6 weeks today and still does it a ton. I would’ve hella stressed and thought I wasn’t giving her enough to eat had I not known that. It’s super helpful to know the little bit there is to know lol otherwise they’re unpredictable! Have fun, it will be the hardest and best thing you’ll do. Sending all the love ❤

Did want to tell you since y'all were a bit confused at the end - swaddles are for baby when you need to wrap them up for sleep, the wraps y'all were thinking are different and are called "baby wrap carriers/slings". Just wanted to make sure you had the right name of them so you can still order one if y'all want!!
Don’t forget to call your doula every time you feel like labor might be starting! She’s there and ready to talk you thru all the false alarms and help you determine if it’s go time

Flat heads in babies are actually super common. My son's pediatrician was always worried about his flat head. I would always pick him up, do tummy, carry him in his carrier, and contact nap. I tried everything and he still had a flat head. By 6 months he began to sit up on his own and his flat head resolved on its own. it is concerning if they do have a flat head but I want to stress that your baby will go through things and that doesn't say anything about your parenting. The way you try and resolve those pitfalls are what makes you an amazing parents. You guys are gonna do great!

My son was obsessed with the baby mat!! He loved the cards the most, especially seeing other faces!! After a few months he started to PLAY with the actual cards and slept with it one night 😂😂

I wish they just did the baby room more neutral while the rest of the apartment could be fun and funky! Also what’s the tea with them never finishing ur apartment and not getting more updates on ur apartment decorating?!
