A tad more finesse to it but that’s the idea You only get the abridged version because I only caught like every other word, my arabics rusty.

I love these Arab sword videos. I have a Museum Replicas Scimitar very similar. But I suppose any sort of curved sword or sabre will do. I want his belt rig. It is cool and good looking. Where can I get one for when I want to strap on my sword. I have a Civil War sabre belt that can be used too.

People in my country usually crazy for katana and they often used it in gang fight. But i more prefer the arabia sword coz this is the sword that prophet and sahabah used in battle... i wanna to learn sword art of our prophet and sahabah used to practice... badly now... where can i learn more about this sword art?
Note, my brother, Arabic swords before Islam were straight and with a hilt similar to those found today. After Islam, they adopted Indian swords, and as for the one in the clip that is an almost straight sword, it is close to the ancient swords, I mean the swords of the Companions.

I wouldn't want to fight either an elite Knight in plate armor or an elite solider (that was more or less what a knight was in battle) trained to fight other elite soldiers . . . . If you weren't a knight or a mubarizun champion yourself it would not matter one bit you would die either way

Hi mate. I think this is a SHAMSHIR. A kind of saber, but with a very particular kind of use, because it is long, but done for close fights

Everyone always thinks "KnIgHt HeAvY dUmB sWiNg BiG cLuB". Knights were terrifying in all actuality. On AND off horse. I just know how to respect other combatants from the world.
Also I am not a knight, I have not had an accolade. However, I have trained in full kit, sword, shield, and pole arms. It's not as easy as one thinks.

translation: "hi..., today we're going to showcase some of the techniques used in traditional arabian sword fighting, as you can see jassem (refering to the other person in the video) as my opponent will try to stop the attack before it begins by stopping me from withdrawing the sword from the sheath, my initial intent was to withdaw and simply strike but now he blocked me from even using my weapon, now he is capable of throwing punches to my face or hold my shirt and pull me down to the ground, or strangle me, or pull down my head gear (incase he was wearing a helmet or any head wear wich was very common in the arabian desert and still is today) to block my vision, or he can with his other hand pull his dagger and stab me, in this case since i can't pull my sword forward i'm gonna step back using my back leg to form an inclined angle ( it doesn't require too much distance compared to steping back directly while you still maintain your balance), now i have my sword in my hand and i'm at an advantage even though he is still blocking me, now i'm going to step to the side and slash/cut my opponent using the free hand, the side slash will cripple the opponent, now all you have to do is finish him off by a direct blow to the head or neck from above, or strike the arm/shoulder if you do not want to kill your opponent and to prevent him from grabing your sword or withdrawing his, or you can just kick him to the ground to distance him from you, this is a very old realistic technique in arabian sword fighting, hope you guys enjoyed this episode, stay blessed :)"

No those swords are more curved and the khilij is Turkish and the shamshir is a copy of it. This is the Arabic version of a Sabre.

But using a weapon for civilian in my country are restricted, event if i can't get it legaly, we should spend high cost and budge than practicing Horsebow archery.
