Hey, Jack, when you start a new game like this you can pause and explore the UI, not sure much of us will complain. The fleet creation was in the upper left and there were so many new ui features that you would have loved.
Edit: I accidentally wrote AI instead of UI
SoSER ruled my life as a kid that and sup comm 2 on my first pc also CoH 1 my fav by far was SoSER i was a massive halo nerd (still am) and i absolutely loved the Halo Sins of The Prophets mod as well as the star war thrawns mod and the clone wars one
Just finished a game today, love it.
Definitely a fun game.
Finally I've been waiting years for this.
I’m checking everyday for a release date can’t wait, personally I love the orbit system I wish more games did that. Also you missed the planet/ship overview on the top left middle and you can add and manage your fleets/planets from the top left corner
The first sins of a solar empire had some seriously good cinematic battles and particle effects for shields and weapons so I’m really looking forward to this and the mods for the likes of halo, 40k, Star Wars etc could be amazing.
The Star Wars: Interregnum mod s going to be most excellent on this engine.
From what I have gathered, the Advent/Steam release will be in August.
The Star Wars and Star Trek modders are salivating
@@Zero.42 The Sins of the Prophets makers were some of the first to tweet stuff out for Sins 2. Their tweet from May 1 read: "Sins 2 is finally coming to Steam? Mod tools?! Things are about to get exciting!"
i hope we will find some talented modder willing to make stargate mods for this
Seems like from a glimpse this is sins of a solar empie with updated graphics and a few mechanics taken from Planetary Annihilation
I loved the first one!
I would like for a upgrade to add a planetary orbital ring station (PORS)
That acts as a giant defense, trade, and manufacturing hub. But also defends the planet with shields if the right modual is added. But once destroyed it has a chance in a given time frame to bombard the world and possibly shatter it.
That'd be fun. But probably something for the modders to do. Would be sick seeing it just slowly spin with rows of guns opening fire in series lol
I want to see a Red Wood Industries mod
ive been waiting a long tine for this game to be on steam and i am waiting on the mods to be there like a star trek mod would be awesome to have special if it set in 25 century and would have have ships from picard and lower deck and prodigy
Hi is the game free
@@ColinJordanVanDerMerwe-tr1kv if they do a free weekend at some point, maybe. But that's not going to happen at launch mate. You'd think it would be common cents but I guess not.
>Very soon
>Still no clear release date.
Summertime in Q3. Which means people are estimating some time in August.
its in mehh catagegory , in this time.
@ventusprime I get how you mean, I was the same when I first played it when it was available on epic (gonna buy it again on steam)
But in terms of the cartoon aspect, I kinda imagine it as bad cgi/greenscreens that modern movies have where it feels like the quality has gone down (Pirates of the Caribbean for example). But once you play it for a while it kinda grows on you. I didn't like the new turret on top of the kol battleship, but after a few hours I can't think of it without it. So your not wrong on how you feel, but hopefully when it comes out and you give it a try it'll grow on ya
Its no different than the old one ...terrible attemp to relaunch an old game with a new skin
How is it a terrible attempt? It's a totally new engine and it's been completely rebuilt. Of course it plays similarly, *that's why people played it in the first place*. Do you want a Call of Duty game to suddenly become a Starcraft clone and claim it's a sequel? No. Because that's stupid.
@5peciesunkn0wn look everyone is entitled to their own apinion, it looks exactly same as the old one, graphics look same play looks same voices same systems same interface slighly different but same, ships move in a similar way ... really dissappinted as i played last game a lot, but especially graphics wise actually looks older than most games that have released in last 10 years ..
@5peciesunkn0wn and if ypu think its been completly rebiult then im sorry but you have no idea what your talking about,
@@christopherswanton4796 they literally say it's a whole new engine built specifically for the game. Some stuff might be ported over, but as a whole, it needs to be rebuilt.
Please dont be more than 40 dollars🥲
Because i wanna play it-
@@XOX174 RIP. I thought games sometimes were less money in other countries? Maybe there will be a regional price difference. Or you can just wait for a sale, which might be years down the line 💀
I think the one feature I like most in this game that nobody is really talking about is that missiles are now actual objects in the game and not just sprites that are hiding an algorithm like they were in the first game. As such, it makes having point defense escorts matter even more because they can intercept the enemy’s missile spam attacks and have your fleet take no damage from them as a result.
It was awesome to find out the vasari had a corvette just to counter missiles and torpedos
Or at least most of the missiles or damage doesn't get through and hit so you don't get hurt as much or more at all if you can stop all of the missiles
