The place and park location for Long Pond that I give in the video is inaccurate. I apparently clicked on the wrong Long pond when I was doing research. 🤦 In my defense, I was up all night with no sleep trying to get info together for this video. Oh well, YT won't let me edit it... sorry y'all. :(
No problem. We all make mistakes. I hope to be able to catch up with y'all soon. We are sitting here on this COLD day watching your videos in the smokies. Love y'all
I love your Mom’s comment, it’s beautiful. For some reason I felt emotional too. I’m not sure why, I think it’s because it seems like you were given a personal tour by the creator Himself. So well done Braids, thanks.
I don’t know why looking at these views made me nearly cry but that’s just me I just think of all the wonderful places u have seen and been to so many memories I love u so and so glad u got to experience this a lifetime experience
I hit the Roan Highlands on Memorial Day 2016, so there were a LOT of dayhikers out, but when I got to Jane Bald they all seemed to disappear. It was the most beautiful clear day so I took an hour plus lunch break. So unforgettable!
This video was Awesome Gretchen with a capitol "A" I love this series you're doing and this would have to be my favorite video you have put out which I feel is saying something since I like all of your videos! Such great insight. . .Thanks!
I’m so happy you had such an amazing flip flop 🩴 All the views you showed where absolutely breathtaking gorgeous. Grogu at the end just made it that much more special. Love, Hobs ❤️
Super superb job Braids!!! Your video was wonderful thank you again for sharing it!! I love this series. I have watched everyone of your videos hiking the Appalachian trail and it was so much fun to see the views again!!!
Great video Gretchen. Thanks for sharing. Just last night I was searching to find a way to Wayah Bald without hiking too far. Thanks again. You are amazing. 🤗🥾🥾🏔
I binged on about 10 of your videos last year but now I'm actually BINGING on the 100+ AT videos! :P I love your videos because I'm also in my 40's and will be starting the trail at 49, turning 50 on the trail! I follow you especially because your hiking pace matches mine and I also act about 15 years younger. Some of your famous lines made me laugh about how you said spiders are stupid. And you yelling at the bear at your first sighting like he was a petulant toddler. LMAO. It ALWAYS gets me laughing when I think of it.
Being a Mainer and a newbie, I fell in love with Barren Ledges this past summer! Cowgal camping it this summer is on the list! Thanks. Video well done!
LOVE this video. I always love a great view. It makes me want to go to all of these places even more, especially the ones in NC! Can’t wait for the next video! 🤗👍🥰
Thank you for the memories in 2013 I ended up flip flopping at the historic Iron bridge (Swatara Gap) because of poison plants. When I summited Katahdin I had more than 1000 miles to get back to the bridge.
Hi braids! My husband and I love watching your videos, especially when we do the dishes lol. Not sure if you’re looking for ideas for videos but I would like to know what you like to eat at home, when not on the trail. I’m always curious what others eat lol
Gretchen, Another awesome video. I love watching them. You made 2020 a better year. I watched every video of your AT hike and looked forward to every day. You are looking so rested and so happy. Where did you find that awesome color changing diffuser? It's beautiful. Also what kind of oils do you put in the diffuser? Looking forward to your next video.
I have thru hiked the A.T. twice and yet I have never had a view off of Katahdin or Blood Mountain but I do think that the prettiest views south of the Mason-Dixon Line are the Roan Highlands. I had great views from all of the Balds. Great video, nice job! geek, '90 & '03
Try Santiago's Bodega. Amazing Tapas!! Three locations: Altamonte Springs, Orlando, and Key West. Hope you make if back over to Flagler Beach/Palm Coast again this year.
You're right. I apparently clicked on the wrong Long pond when I was doing research. 🤦 In my defense, I was up all night with no sleep trying to get info together for this video. Oh well, YT won't let me edit it... :(
New Hampshire/The White Mountain National forest seems to be extremely underrated and AT thru hikers repeatedly say that those ridgleines and the presidential range is their favorite as well. If anyone is ever in NH for whatever reason haha get yourself on the presidential range ridgelines, its a magical place. Mt Washington has the highest recorded wind speed in the world by a human. 234 mph, it can go from hot and sunny in the summer to 100 + mph winds and a blizzard, most people who have died up there from hypothermia have died in the summer months.
Braids, I never understand why people go out of their way to say negative crap like this. Lots of us planning to hike the AT and people that love seeing this beautiful country love videos like this. Thanks for sharing!

Maine the best state ever one day I'm gonna move there
This is an advertisement to hike the Appalachian trail. Awesomeness.

Thanks. Glad you did a video on just The View! Fabulous editing. This takes a lot of work and we all appreciate the effort.
I don’t know why looking at these views made me nearly cry but that’s just me I just think of all the wonderful places u have seen and been to so many memories I love u so and so glad u got to experience this a lifetime experience

There’s a parking lot about .1 mile away :)
@@HikingwithBraids Thanks so much, it looks like a wonderful view from there on a clear day.

Awesome video of the views. All very cool. 🌲👍
Good morning 🌞🌞 Gretchen. My favorite is you looking of a clift. I don't know the place. But it's awesome.
Maybe you’re thinking of McAfee Knob. It made the list.
@@HikingwithBraids ...yes,. You showed the Macfee knob later in the video.
Beautiful views along your way for sure. Hawking several for destinations of our places to see.
Great video series! The views were sensational!🏞🌄

Where are your braids? Just kidding. I enjoyed this video. Lots of memories.
Hi Braids Do you have any videos on Charlies Bunion?
I love claredon Vermont we went there 2 last summer love the suspension bridge I only live a hour away
One of your best videos, imho. But Arcadia NP ? Does the AT go through that NP?
Minute 11:15
It does not.
You're right. I apparently clicked on the wrong Long pond when I was doing research. 🤦 In my defense, I was up all night with no sleep trying to get info together for this video. Oh well, YT won't let me edit it... :(
Grogu loved his time on the trail.
I felt your emotion on top of Baldhead MT. I’m sure of it.

I kinda thought that you would include "Gretchen's Rock" 😀
Lol I thought about it but decided the others were more my favorite.

Most creators hope to earn a little revenue from the hard work they put into making videos for others like yourself to watch for free. Byeeeee!
