I have lost 105 lbs and I already have loose skin. I still have about 190 to go. Screw the loose skin. I know what it's like to not be able to walk. I know what weighing 462 lbs has done to my body. Loose skin is the least of my worries.

I like your comment "deal with it later". No one knows how much loose skin they will have after a major weight loss anyway. I lost 65 lbs in 2004/2005. I got a little ab fold at the bottom and some lovely upper arm flappiness. The rest of my skin shrank up. I was in my late 30s. I gained 40 lbs back, so here we go again. Losing 50 lbs after 50 is a whole new ball game. Now I have lose skin including on my neck where I lost my triple chin. Which would I rather have? I'll take those neck wrinkles over that triple chin every time. No question.

I’ve lost 94 lbs on keto over the last year and a half, and am 61 years of age, so OF COURSE I have loose skin, but SO WHAT? Lamentable, but not a reason to go off keto or to never have started. For me it has always been about health. Looking better is just a bonus. You can dress appropriately to cover up loose skin, but you cannot hide an obese or overweight state.

I lost weight on keto before. Went from size 20 to a size 2. My health improved greatly and my doctors took me off all my meds. I was sad about my loose skin, but I loved the way all my clothes fit. Then I went off keto and gained all the weight plus some back. (Sugar & carbs are my downfall.) I had to be put back on a whole pharmacy of medications because of my bad diet and excess weight. Now I’m embracing keto as a lifestyle and I’m straight up looking forward to seeing that loose skin. I was happier and way more healthier with the loose skin than I am without it.

Before I lost 35 lbs. on Keto…. I did worry about loose skin. But, I worried more about what was going to become of me if I continued on gaining weight. I watched keto holistic doctors/ nutritionists for 1 month, 3 hours a day BEFORE starting Keto. I believe this was the key for me not getting discouraged. I know what biologically my body is doing with what I put into it. I immediately, within the first week, felt more energetic! I was shocked over my rapid weight loss! I was 15 years overweight and gaining. I think it’s literally a miracle that I am normal looking now! Regardless of the joy I have for looking great …. I can get out of bed without aches and pains, I am no longer have high blood pressure, and I can walk without the aid of a walker! I have a back issues but the extra weight on me literally crippling. I now walk my new dog for an hour every day! God is Good! I have an exciting future ahead of me! Thank You Keto Twins for your part in transforming lives!

I've lost 65 pounds. When I started on my journey I never expected I'd have my young, hard body back. I'm a 63 year old woman that birthed 3 babies. My skin isn't as loose as I thought it would be...I just look like an older 'mom' lady and I'm ok with that. Chronic health beats chronic illness any day....I'm very happy to be comfortable in my own skin again!

As another person who has yo-yoed for decades, I've heard it all, experienced it all and nothing gets my goat more than people touting all the things that prevent loose skin and stretch marks - same for pregnancy stretch marks. It is almost ALL genetic. Look at your mom - did she get stretch marks? If she did, you are likely to get them too. And who cares??? If you don't get them, count yourself lucky. Same for loose skin.
I just watched the Olympics where two moms won medals in speed races and they were as fit as can be and they had loose skin and stretch marks on their stomachs. If you look at other track athletes, you can see stretch marks on their thighs too.
Stretch marks AND loose skin are signs of living - just as scars are. Our skin is an amazing organ and we should love for all that it does for us.
And as much as everyone worries about it, as the Twins said, it's just an excuse. From my experience, my loose skin has done NOTHING to harm my partner's desirability for me either. He's just happy to have a healthier partner and the loose skin is just a remnant of things I've overcome.
I have full-on bat wings and that is OK. At this point, I can poke fun at myself and call myself a saggy baggy elephant, but I feel great. That loose skin is a badge of what I've overcome.

We started getting stretch marks on the backs of our knees when we were in 2nd grade (we were underweight at the time but growing tall fast) I remember my friends pointing them out to me (out of being concerned as they were deep and bright red and looked painful) guess what, I haven’t worn shorts since. I had marks before I even gained weight. It’s just a part of life. -Em

@@staceykersting705 and that is a naive thought and a mean comment. It implies people wouldn’t get stretch marks is they lived better lives. I guess you can believe arhat if it makes you feel better, but genetics play a very large roll. My teen son had the cleanest diet. And he’s skinny and and he has stretch marks on his back from growth spurts. Both his dad and I also got growth stretch marks.

I lost 60 lb & didn't have loose skin because I worked out. I was really afraid of the effects on my chest & back of the arms, stomach but strength training really helps to keep your skin taught. Working out with weights, even low pound weights will help keep the muscle under your skin full. I find chest and back exercises especially helpful for keeping your girls up. ☺️

How long have you been doing 1 time per week fasting? And can you say specifically how that has helped you? As in no or little progress in specific area until I started the fasting and then wow this is the progress I made since? I do intermittent fasting skipping breakfast and this has helped me to lose 30 lbs on keto in less than 3 months. But I still have another 50 lbs to go. And I am wondering if adding in a longer fast 1time per week would benefit me
It is hard to wrap my brain around.

I am just starting my keto life. I have multiple health issues. I have people including the last Dr I saw that only see me as a fat grey haired woman. This significantly affects my relationships. I cannot get out of chairs, cannot walk when I get up, cannot run, cannot sleep through the night, cannot make it to the bathroom without an accident 12:43 ….. the list goes on. Loose skin is the least of my thoughts. But I am so grateful you addressed it in this informative dialogue.

This an awesome video! I've lost 100 pounds over the past two years following a keto lifestyle. I knew loose skin would happen as I was 58 when I started and things just don't bounce back like they once did. Do I like it? No. Is it worth it? YES!!! I would never go back to what I was before. I've come to think of the loose skin as "battle scars". I've fought the beast (obesity) and won. Be proud of your battle scars...they are proof of your strength and endurance.

I am so much like both of you. But older. I’ve been overweight since my early teens. I went all the way up to 432 pounds by the time I was in my late 20’s. I’ve lost, gained, lost, gained. I do, and will have tons of loose skin. But I don’t really worry about that. I would honestly rather be able to get around. I’ve damaged my poor body so much over the years with this fat. I certainly don’t expect my body to suddenly be “normal” because I’m working on weight loss. Once I get to a healthy weight and am able to maintain for a while, I will decide if I want to do something about it. Honestly, it is what it is. I already feel better and can do more. I’ll take the health. Thanks for doing this video. It’s so much better to focus on health. ❤️

I'd rather be around for a long while and have loose skin in my life than not starting the weight loss journey that is needed and in reality losing my life as morbid as that sounds. Everyone seems to want to find a reason to live for someone else or some thing.. I'm guilty of that thought too, but realization hit and that is I stopped searching for something or someone to do that for... I, am worth living for.. So are all of you...It's that simple. I got off track since March and gained back not only half my weight I'd lost but the health problems that were with it. It won't be easy but I'm worth making myself get back on track and living life not just surviving it. Love these inspirational videos too they do help.

I lost a lot of weight about 10 years ago (doing keto). I looked sooo old. My skin on my face looked so droopy. I hated it. I believe that is why I have not really stuck to my plan. But, today, you made me realize I can do things to tighten my skin on my face, like you know, cosmetic stuff. So, again, you have helped me to identify ways I was sabotaging myself.

It is autophagy that takes care of loose skin, but it is slow and takes time. Autophagy fasting starts at 17 hours. You can watch Dr. Mindy or Berg who explain it quite well. You can also do strength training to build muscles to reduce loose skin.

I knew that loose skin would result in any lifestyle change that resulted in losing weight. I do try to work out in some form at least 5 days a week. Either some type of cardio and resistant band training or targeting certain areas that I know my loose skin will remain. It didn't stop me from making the lifestyle change to keto because I knew that I would rather have loose skin than be 353 lbs at 5'1 than be healthier and have loose skin. I am down to 289 lbs in less than a year and I can tell that I already have looser skin but I am happy with my progress. Thank you for this video you both are absolutely correct!

I have lost 100 lbs with Keto. I have excess skin and I wish I didn't have the excess skin. However, I will never go back to the overweight person I used to be. Losing weight has made my life so much better. It's easier to move around, easier to find clothes that fit, I feel 1000% better than before, I have a confidence I have never had, plus more that I am forgetting. Losing weight is absolutely worth the excess skin. I may eventually get some of it removed but I haven't decided yet. It will be at least 5 or more years before I even think about a consultation.

First I want to say that you ladies are amazing and very inspiring. I started my Keto journey this year in March. I've always struggled with my weight. Back in March I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. I was also 251pds at that time as well. This scared me so much! It was then I decided to really do something to reverse pre-diabetes and finally lose weight. I found Keto, researched it and decided to give it a shot. So now as of Sept 12th, I am currently 209pds(my target goal for now is 185) I'm no longer pre-diabetic and I feel so proud of myself. I am however dealing with lose skin on my arms, inner thighs and tummy. But when I stand in the mirror in the nude looking at my body I can't help but to be proud of the progress I've made and will continue to make. I am considering surgery to remove it, but first I want to try working out lol. You ladies are so inspiring 😘

Hello ladies! My heaviest weight was 353 lbs, I was 18 , today I weighed in at 194. I have loose skin on my belly and arms, it’s not the worst, is take loose skin instead of those Xtra pounds! I use compression pants , they’re some thin “ spandex” leggings , which keep me “together” they also work for my Double TKR by providing support , I also use an “arm girdle” that is basically like a long sleeved bra.
Recently I’ve done “dry brushing” and also I am looking in to “wood therapy” to sod in loose skin, which is reducing .

I didn't worry about getting loose skin and yes I did experience this to a degree, I only lost 22lbs which is 13kgs, but when I stopped losing weight, it has started to tighten up, and I am 60 years old so I think this is more relevant the older you are. I believe that loose skin is something people on a Keto lifestyle experience because we lose weight so quickly, and I really love being lighter now and I am someone who has never needed to worry about weight loss before now as have always been slim for most of my life. So my experience has always been I liked the way I looked, but I really didn't like being overweight and preferred to have loose skin rather than the extra weight, because I feel healthier now. It is something that is easy to cover up, whereas the extra weight is not something you can hide.

I lost weight on keto and my body was crepey in places. It bothered me, so I increased my weight (fat) and added muscle volume. I don't like the extra weight (fat), although the muscle is good. Back to keto to reduce my weight to my original goal weight. My loose skin is less of a concern than maintaining my health goals. Lots of feelings about the loose skin. I am going to focus on being kind to myself and maintaining my health.

Thank you for the timely topic. I think that loose skin is a personal issue. To your point on this video, silly not to lose weight cause you will have loose skin. The benefits of losing weight is more important than any aesthetic. That being said, I'm having skin surgery next week (circumferential body lift with lipo). It's taken a lot to get to this point but literally the skin is just hanging after a 95 pound overall weight-loss (I'm in my fifties) and I would like to live the later years of my life without it. Will let you know how it goes:) P.S. my husband is an identical twin and I love watching your dynamic!

I got breast cancer and when I lost another 20 lbs to 130 lbs I got loose skin. I had both breasts removed...recooperated...and the last 20 came back. My skin recovered and at 66 yrs am firm again. My 150 lbs is my sustainable weight.

If you lose a significant amount of weight, you get loose skin. I remember watching The Biggest Loser and noting that while they did before pictures shirtless, the after picture was always well clothed. It's just how human physiology works.
I notice I look a little deflated, but the over-inflated look wasn't better!

Thank you!!! It's a wonderful message... There are ALWAYS a lot of things about our physique that aren't "ideal" (except for a tiny few of us).
If I could have picked my own body design (before birth) I would have chosen one that grew a couple of inches taller with a wider shoulder span with naturally defined muscles and kept a full head of hair into old age... But I spend no time pondering that because IT IS A WASTE OF PRECIOUS TIME! In fact, pondering those types of thoughts diminish you.
Stick to what is possible to improve and empower yourself with that. I am old enough to realize that having an imperfect physical body NEVER stood in the way of experiencing the BEST things in life.
The most impressive people I know are rarely the best looking.
The most beloved and celebrated people are rarely the best looking.
Understanding that will MAKE YOU MOST ATTRACTIVE.

I have a little crepey looking skin now and I have another 40 lbs or so to go. Almost no one sees me naked, so it doesn't matter - I look a lot thinner and can "dress away" any imperfections. Feeling great to be on the "Keto Journey" and having success. I do some intermittent fasting (I think autophagy does help and I just feel good including some fasting in my routine) and I am just curious to see what my very own body can accomplish in a year or two (and beyond) of staying with this lifestyle, tweaking as I go. Wishing everyone success and an improvement in quality of life and self worth. :) Very much enjoying this channel and so impressed with all the positive commenters sharing their experiences. It's easier to hide loose skin than a big belly and round face! I'm 74 and people tell me I look like I'm in my 60s. But, I'm 40 pounds overweight, so when I lose 20 or 30 pounds then I expect that I will also have more wrinkles too which will make me look older (i.e. my actual age).
I understand people's vanity, because I'm vain too, but I also have a stronger survival instinct that says I'd rather be wrinkled than dead! Thus, it's a choice that I don't find hard to make!
You, ladies, inspire me with your charm, frankness, and vulnerability! You bravely admit your mistakes when you could easily edit them out and you present your endorsements with authentic zeal. Bravo!

I never even thought about loose skin until my mother’s nasty old husband questioned it. I didn’t even know it was a possibility. Luckily, it was easy to ignore him. I have not lost all my weight yet, and I have a huge belly that folds and hangs over my pubic bone. I am a little worried because every time I lose more weight, it drops lower. I’m prone to yeast infections in the skin under it because of it. I’m wondering whether I’m going to need the surgery, and I don’t think Medicare will ,cover it. I’m not good at fasting. And I’m not going to stop eating keto because of it. I’m actually looking forward to finding out what will happen. And I bought maternity belly bands to have on hand if needed.

I started on Keto June 22, 2022 and thinking about loose skin was not a factor in making the decision to lose weight, my abnormal labs were. I had already investigated the loose skin and how to tighten it up. What caught my attention was how old my friends looked as they started losing weight, I didn't want that at all. My friend told me that was the loose skin in their face so I started doing stuff to hopefully avoid that ,while getting the weight off.

Hi Ladies, Just stumbled upon your channel about two weeks now. I learned A LOT about KETO from Dr. Berg. HIs supplements are awesome. I enjoy your hearing about your journey and love your casual and REAL content. People will always have something negative to say. You both are doing a great job. If people need more science and structure, go some where else. KETO has to be the rest of my life. I am very curvy and have a flat middle. At 232 lbs, I did not have any heath issues, doctors wouldn't be too concerned because my waist was small. As I began aging, i felt the difficulty of getting off the floor, winded when walking, i knew i needed to drop the weight. I tried almost everything. Orlistat, HGC injections, Lemonade detox. etc....nothing made sense more for me than KETO. I do dirty KETO and it still works. Mahalo from Hawaii and Keep going! ;)

I have been on Omad keto for a couple of months so far, I have lost almost 20 kilos and the autophagy process has helped me get rid of my cellulite, I still can't believe it, I have less cellulite now than when I was a teenager! Of course my stretch marks and loose skin from pregnancies are still there, but who cares? My skin looks healthier, my face is glowing, no more hormonal acne, I only use almond oil and shea butter which really helps to strengthen and protect the skin (mine is very sensitive). I am really happy with the way things are going, I couldn't believe that I would achieve these results at 40! Keep it up girls, your health is the first goal!

I was one of those that had perfection until mid 20s. I got pregnant at 25, 130lbs of curvy muscle and bone on a petite frame, then pregnancy caught up to me and I gained 70 lbs. Tried so many things, it didn't budge, and I gained another 20-30 on top of the 70. And every time I've thought about trying again, all I can think of is how ill never be what I once was. I've been fat for 7 years now, and it kills me and stops me from even trying, from truly committing.

It was the best thing I could have ever done cuz even when I do gain weight , my tummy is still flat . However when I was going on diets it never Thorne on me to think about “ loose skin” I’d rather be thinner and have loose skin then be heavier . I will tell you “ not “ to get lipo on inner thighs cuz it does get loose . I’d rather them be a lil heavier and be more solid live and learn thank you for all you do 🌻🌻🌻

When I had my first baby I saw myself in the mirror 2 days later. I had an apron down to my knees. No internet back then, so no where to get advice. I was only 25, so over time it did shrink up. Never smoked pre baby again, but over time it shrinks. Derma rolling helps a bit, but not a lot or quickly.
