I don't own one, I currently run an L7S, but the Pioneer sub sounds so smooth and deep in a proper sized sealed enclosure, it's one of the best I've heard. Just looking at the parameters tells me it will do better in sealed. Try a 1.5 cubic ft sealed enclosure and I bet you'll like it much more. Unless you build an enclosure individually suited for each sub I don't see how it can be a fair comparison.
I would of got the pioneer without a doubt, pioneer is rated 500rms and has a lot of history of great subwoofers and build quality. If you would of had the right ohm load and box the pioneer would of sounded better over all. Great video 👍👍👍

In my daily I have 2 qclass 8's in an MB Enclosures BIG MOUF HORN box on another ROCKFORD FOSGATE T1000-1BDCP. Let me tell you, it's the best sound quality system I have ever owned.
it's not only about going loud. Back in the 90's, Car Audio Magazine actually has emphasis on subjective SQ results and has test Cd's, that go along with track and name of artist. What good is SPL if you play it at higher levels with a pronounced overhang on the bass notes, ( subjectively muddy). A kick drum test tone will define accuracy. The electronic bass is for really going down. In the 90's there was bass 305 disc.

HifiVega im interested in what the pioneer would do on your meter, if you wired it to 2 ohms? Im sure in such a large enclosure, and the subwoofer getting way over rated power, their would be diminishing returns in SPL. Also if you try the pioneer @ 2 ohms, i would suggest finding the freq. @ which your enclosures highest impedance rise occurs, to help control the x max of the subwoofer the most, being that much over rated power handling. Also, while testing, it would be great if you used your SMD power/impedance device that the speaker wires run through, to record actual power, and impedance rise, while testing the max SPL @ 2 ohms rated/@ rest. I hope you will consider my recommendations, thank you.

I really wish that there was a channel that did some sound testing with quality sound in there mind, not just moste rombel and vibrations for the money. Is it dray, is it tight, is it fast, does it have dynmaics, does it boom all over the place ? There has to be more People lokking for hq gear that Wonder how it sounds. Does it boom, is it 10000000000 watt ? My lord, boomy base is the easyest thing, to make it sound good, not so much. And please if you are 14 then watt and boom is for you, it was for me to. AND if audio gear looks good on a dymo, it can still sound totally analytical and crap.
I’ve got plenty of sound quality focused videos, but I do videos for both sides of the enthusiast fence. I do have a channel recommendation for you though. Check out PS Sounds channel

This is a my “favorites” list. If you can get it in the site for $85 then choose that price. I don’t even like the sdr but in your simulation, it’s bull crap not to put it in its rightful second place. The pioneer sounds bad, the Rockford prime has the motor force and coil size of an 8” woofer. Nor does it get loud. Maybe it’s because of box size but other than that, nah it doesn’t belong above the skar. You should try the armada 12 from audio legion. It’s basically the same thing as the sdr and is all around a better sub because if the soft parts the build house chose to put in it. Have a good day.
This whole channel is my observations and opinions and that’s why I said folks might pick them in a different order and that’s absolutely ok, but as far as my picks compared to my preferences I stand by them. None of these subs are bad subs so I don’t think anyone would be disappointed by any of them so long as they choose the one that lines up with their specific goals
This guy is so full of crap. I put a single voice coil competition series Pioneer 12" in a QPower heavy duty sealed 1.25 cubic foot box per Pioneer's data sheet. It is hooked up to a 340rws watt bridged home amp. My preamp sends anything 90Hz and lower out to my subamp which feeds this woofer. It sounds fantastic. I chose the Pioneer Competition series because I have used them in car audio and home since 1991. It sounds so good I am going to add another one and unbridge the amp and just feed each one with 200wpc rms. I amnot sure what this guys problem is or what he is doing wrong or why he likes garbage subs but he clearly has a bias and it is not at all towards truth. THe speakers he tends to like tend to be made in China by a few manufacture that build a lot o speakers for many different brands using the the same generaic off the shelf parts. You can buy generica cones, surrounds, baskets, motors, dust caps, spiders and build your own woofers or repair any brand you like with parts that are generic. This should not be a secret. I do not have anything against things made in China but I like companies that put their own name on the product they build and that stick around 30+ years not here today and gone tomorow and companies that design their own product even if they have someone else manufacture it for them. Most of the sub woofers today that are not Pioneer, Kicker, Infinity are just ordered from a menu of parts and then branded for what ever brand they want it to say and kicked out the door from China to USA. This is why so many baskets look the same, the cones look the same the surrounds etc.... The idea of a "sound quality subwoofer" is just stupid. Your sub should only be making sounds 100Hz and lower. Not a lot of data in that range and the data that is there is not usually high resoultion data. So any subwoofer should be able to produce musical low freq. no matter what. SPL is a function of effeciency and how much power you can put into the subwoofer continiously. The less effecient a speaker the more power you will need to push into it to get to the same SPL of an otherwise more effecient speaker. For actual music not "Bass Head Centric Music" even a cheap subwoofer can be made to sound fantastic. When you get into things like "Illegal Bass, DJ Magic Mike, Bass Outlaws" and the like you are entering another world that is at the extreme end of the spectrum. In these instances it is not how low the bass gets but the repaid way in which the bass hits almost unlessly while also sustaining or notes for extended times and adding in unusal not at all natural phase angles and rotation. What we are then talking about is so different from all other forms of music where even a cheap sub will work great to requiring a special single use design if you want to go hard and go extreme. It is like the difference between a well designed 4x4 OEM truck and a hard core trailer queen rock crawler. You have to have some intellegence and be very specific about what it is you are looking for in a sub woofer! This guy is not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Where have you been brother?
Great infor for bassheads.
You should Dyno the taramps md3000.1 4 ohm version
I take it back. You are the peoples champ.
Of course I'm subscribed!!
You da man that’s why!
@@HifiVega Thank you, i whil look at more of youre videos then. Yes i know there is a lot of car audio folks looking for watt and boomy stuff. I did come late to the party, from home audio, where moste People try to make things sound as nice and thight as they can, and to avoid boomy uncontrolled base at all costs. Let me know if you know of a slightly warm smooth sounding head unit ore two i can look at. I know i dont like vintage Alpines if that helps 👍thanks
Wait, how did Deaf Bonce make it to losers bracket??
It was a people’s choice vote and it happened to be up against the Crossfire C3
So when are you gonna wall the trooper? 😁
You’ll never see me wall anything ever lol
Pioneer is underated
I love your all vedios from India
Thanks for watching!
Pioneer sounds louder then all
This is a my “favorites” list.
Im sayin machete off the top
Solid pick
Just started the video but go deaf bonce
👍
No offense but is it just me or are the videos from this channel starting to become like an Amazon commercial?
And down 4 sound 😉
Just can't hit that 20k eh.
When it happens it happens. Until then I’ll just keep having fun and enjoying the hobby!
You taught me something today! Clearly TH-cam doesn’t have a character limit on comments.
Rockford less mechanical distortion than Skar. Deaf Bounce is just OK, kind of sloppy/innaccurate.pioneer is hitting it, but has mechanical distortion, but sounds loud. Rockford is cleanest. Pioneer good bang for buck. Deaf Bounce, meh. Skar is way too much distortion. 1 Pioneer, 2. DB, 3. RF, 4. Skar
Hyanka will beat all of these.
What @jason Weber said
Nice video @HifiVega
Thanks!
