That's exactly when I stopped watching. I was interested to see if I could benchmark my current system. Then it became clear I'd need a 30x0 card. Ok, I can understand that. But I also need the 360hz monitor? Newp. At that point I don't need to bench as I've already got the things I am trying to evaluate the need for. I do understand why it's needed to work within what they've created. But it needs to be called out clearly and at the beginning.

System/Game Latency has nothing to do with your internet connections latency. If anything, due to your high internet latency, you are going to want to have the fastest possible input latency in order to try migrate the high internet latency.

Just to let you know, you do not gain much beyond 144Hz.
Don't be fooled by FPS or Hz beyond that, instead, focus on frametime.
60Hz is 16.6ms
120Hz is 8.2ms
144Hz is 6.9ms (huge jump from 60Hz)
But once you go beyond that, you just gain a couple of ms
240Hz is 4.1ms
360Hz is just 2.7ms
It ain't worth the money lol.

@Alfonso Mendoza modded minecraft yeah, but for vanilla i already have more than enough fps on a 1070 (unless i'm using shaders) . And even then its not like high fps really helps me too much on minecraft, however on fortnite having high fps or low latency can help you win fights and even money if you are playing in a tournament.

You're joking but this is really just one more layer that will further divide casual budget gamers from enthusiasts with loads of money or professionals with professional setups. Skill will always be the most important sure, but a $3000 setup probably doesn't hurt.
I mean, it's not bad that gaming technology becomes better and better but this is really not something for the average gamer for now but this is making it look a bit like "now you can be better too!" No, you can't because everyone who is already better than you, will probably also have this. There is no catching up.
Call me a pheasant but that's kind of what I like about multiplayer on console. If I get owned, it's really just because someone was genuinely better than me. On PC, there are a million possible excuses.

Sure this isn't going to make a noob into a pro, but if you're already in the top 1%, this is the difference between a Michael Phelps and a Milorad Čavić. And I bet you've heard of one guy and not the other.
now, you might be thinking, sure but i'm no Olympic Athlete. But the effect still scales - to an extent. Even lower-level competitions are decided by slim margins. Maybe those milliseconds will make the clutch play that will put your clan on top of the board for a while. Suppose it reduces your average ttk, even by just 1 frame worth. That's a noticeable effect over the long run.
So yeah, it won't make your average noob a pro, but it will have measurable effects on good players.

And if you are sitting with 90-100ms ping on your Internet connection, that small latency in input is negligible. Sorry, but this is bullshit for 99.9% of the gamers at home.

That’s not what was implied. Faster refresh is one of multiple things that contribute to lower system latency.
