Project summary: Dr. Harald Ade (NC State) and his colleagues create carbon-based electronics materials to replace silicon in electronic devices including smart phones, laptops, and tablets. These materials could potentially be used to create flexible devices like mobile phones that roll up to fit neatly in your pocket, taking up only the space of a pen.
