- In this video, Scrolling 2 Death host Nicki Reisberg opens and reviews the Bark Phone, marketed as the "#1 Kids Safe Phone."
Are “kid-safe” phones really safe for kids? That’s the question we kept asking ourselves. So we reached out to a few of the biggest kid-phone companies to get samples.
In this new series, we’ll review these phone products and provide you guys with our HONEST thoughts around their safety features, functionality and whether or not we would let our kids use them.
We’ll also be diving into the complicated discussion around parents monitoring their kids’ phones and the trust issues that can arise.
Thank you for taking the time to do this review. I'm looking forward to more details in future episodes. I hope that moving forward the comment section is more useful and polite. Please know that you're doing a good service for some parents, especially young widows who are overwhelmed with life.
The easier option would be to just choose the service that only has call and text and has no apps at all. Very easy and not overwhelming and your kids wouldn't be able to poke around cause they would have no access to anything but calls and text lol
We love Bark, it has been wonderful for our family, we have it on our 11 year olds phone and its great at keeping her safe online.
Recently my husbsnd and i got a notification saying the the app had been disabled and went yo our daughter, she wanted yo watch south park episodes aswell as movies like Smile, The boogeyman and Ted, nope!
Luckily we got their in time before she could see anything innapropriate.
Im so grateful to Bark for protecting our little girl from internet dangers and protecting her innocence from innapropriate content. ❤
I made a presentation for my parents to get in for me and im really excited
you sound like me as a teen! I was all about a presentation 😊
I purchased a bark phone. You don't immediately get the notification of an issue. It took about a half hour for me to get notified that I called my kid a "turd" in a text. It got flagged for potential bullying. So far I like the program they have.
Lol my mom has this for me and she called me lazy and it got flagged for potential bulling as well
Thank you!
you’re welcome Jennifer!
Cool phone for my kids 😊
You need to look at other reviews and information about the phone bfore you give an uninformed review.
Due to two previous videos I watched about the Bark phone, it is set up so that no matter how old or how much they go through the phone, they Can NOT change any settings.
What age should kids have a smartphone?
my goal is to wait until 16 and get them a Bark Phone. Maybe a watch before then
@@Scrolling2Death So no smartphone (e.g. iPhone) until they can pay it themselves and no Bark phone until 16 or 18?
@@homeguestunton that is my plan!
My kids are all under nine years old so that plan may adjust as the years go on. But I will 100% start with a bark phone. No iPhone until they’re an adult.
@@Scrolling2Death You can give them a Bark phone maybe at 18, and not iPhone until they can pay for it

Er. If your kids are under 8 years old, without phones, why are you doing this review? Once you’ve struggled with the sly genius of a teen determined to access the internet you’ll know better what to look for.😊
