I would say Aspas is still the goat mostly due to the longevity he has had on the top, but I can not deny KangKang has cemented himself as a legend of the game as a whole with this run
I think in consistency, it's still Aspas because he's been consistent for a long time. But if next year KangKang wins another champions event, I think he will be named the goat (I think same if any duelist wins a second MVP for a Champions final, Demon1, Jawg, but not those on Acend because I don't count them)
@uresfffff222 yeah, but having a few bad games (at the worst of times) doesn't take away that in the past 3 champions he's finished top 3, and was carrying leviatan on his back till this point
for u guys the goat is the peak that the player had, or a combination of stability , accolades and good stats, bc if its the 1st option, aspas cant be the goat, alot of the goat contenders have a prime better than his, but if u count stability and consistency, aspas is the undeniable goat
I don't wanna glaze aspas but shit why not. Everytime a new duelist wins champions or event and becomes mvp the whole community considers the duelist one of if the not the best player OAT (everyone but aspas has fell off, tenz is still insane and won masters but wasn't dominating like zekken). Personally I still give aspas the best player/duelist then texture. Personally if you interchange any of the three players on EDG I think the result wouldn't have matter (assuming they still had the same momentum going into GF). You can't forget edg whole year with their disappointing placements at masters proving that they were in form for champions. If every team was in form at champions, every player was peaked the Grand Finals would've been GENG vs LEV. My top 5 players that played at champs are Aspas, texture, kangkang, Riens, Zekken (I think they're some better players that didn't play at champs)
edg did choke in shanghai and madrid but the style of their gameplay is so different from shanghai and Madrid that those events can be ignored. EDG have figured out how to use aggression to their advantage but also learned when to chill and not overpush and throw the round. The discipline that EDG players have showed in champs is like Night and Day compared to before. I believe this is kinda due to the fact that they added s1mon who is not that aggressive but is absolutely insane with assisting with kills, whether it is flashes, stuns, etc. As of right now, if EDG keeps showing this discipline(which probably would happen), Kang Kang is truly the goat. Also, don't forget that Kang Kang's ability to learn and adapt is like instant. He quickly adapted to the neon meta and played at peak performance on neon and furthermore has learned to tone it down and become a goated rifler. He is truly a combination of entry god with insane midround impact.
Aspas is still better due to consistency but come on, you are not the one who knows Kang Kang from this month. He has been great just they got the game later than others, they took their time and now look, many more will come out
@@anonymousorca4651 again everyone on EDG was in form for this year champs and were a top 2 team last champs. If every team was peaked edg wouldn't have won (not trying to disqualify this champs they deserved it since yk THEY won it). I do agree with you about KK adpating to neon. I think him doing that improved his rifling and he's definitely a top 3 op crutch. If kk had op earlier on abyss TH wouldn't have came back.
Overall since vct started, Aspas is the goat. As of right now, KK>Aspas because he outfragged aspas during the Lev Edg matchup and outfragged heretics during the grandfinals (who beat Lev 3-1)
if you really think aspas and kangkang are same you need get your brain check, kang kang is way more aggressive than aspas who is more methodical player. (also even when aspas was in loud he lost against edg in tokyo)
I disagree, edg's enitre gameplan is based on kangkang's diabolical aggression plays that are unique to him, aspas on the other hand has more decisive plays that aren't as fast but are effective due to map info setup
Aspas has never been the best imo, it’s always been the Tenz, Yay’s, Demon1s, Zekkens, Textures and now KangKangs of the world, he has undoubtedly been the most consistent overall (if you remove recency bias) but the greatest of all time should be an indomitable force not someone who was close to being the best for a long period of time.
Aspas is not the GOAT. He is consistently GOOD but I think his playstyle has been figured out. He is still decent at entry but it feels like his team ends up having to play around his lack of aggression as a duelist. Miniboo has shown us that much less consistent and talented duelists can still provide great value to their team, and I think with equally talented teams, players like Sayf or Kang Kang are better at causing problems for their opponents than Aspas.
I would say Aspas is still the goat mostly due to the longevity he has had on the top, but I can not deny KangKang has cemented himself as a legend of the game as a whole with this run
KangKang and Chichoo were amazing this game

aspas fell off hard , he played so bad last two matches

Smurfing Neon is new era!
What is settings zmjjkk
chichoo is one of the best aimers ever seen
Subbed for Dreadlock
Who do you think is better right now? Kang kang or aspas?
Right now kk, his neon util is impeccable
kangkang diffed aspas so he's better, simple logic
