    PSA for those who are thinking about getting a Master's during or right after a bachelor's: I work in HR at a Fortune 50 company. If you are an undergrad or recent grad, I would not advise getting your master's degree right away for the following reasons:
    1. The course work is a masters program will be more impactful when you have real world experience under your belt.
    2. You won't get a salary bump or be eligible for better jobs right after getting your master's because when we recruit candidates we're primarily concerned with real world experience, not degrees or certifications. In fact, if you have a masters right out of undergrad it may HURT your chances of getting a job because you don't have the experience to back it up.
    3. If you get a job at a company and work for a few years, many will PAY for your master's degree!
    4. After getting into the workforce, you may find the field you got your master's in isn't for you. Try to get experience (we're talking 5+ years before getting a master's).
    With all this being said, if you still want to get a master's while in undergrad, go for it! This is just my perspective but I hope this helps give you an insight into what talent acquisition professionals are thinking. Also, this is in NO WAY a criticism of Gracie. I give her ALL THE CREDIT for chasing her dreams and doing it her way! ❤️

      This is so interesting. In Denmark, nobody will hire you if you don't have a masters!

      This doesn't really apply to STEM majors as it is more common to go directly into grad school after finishig your bachelors and will definately NOT hurt your chances of employment.

    • @joyfuljaj
      @joyfuljaj 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Carlos-qd4dq i was about to respond that it is probably different according to the field. Of course, grad school for science fields is going to be longer than most business related programs I have heard of. I did grad school in chemistry right after undergrad; I don't know if I would have been able to get myself back into the school mode had I started working first. I did not have research experience beforehand (totally different type of advice coming from that) but even though I kind of changed my track during grad school, my master's degree got me a bump in pay at my first job. It is very interesting to hear from the hiring world in business though.

    Here in England you get your bachelors in 3 years and then a masters in a 4th year as standard! It’s so interesting how things vary around the world! Put yourself first always, you’re the most important person❤️

    3 undergrad and 3 grad classes all at once is a ton
    5 classes in an undergrad semester would already be a lot
    Your feelings make total sense
    You’re almost there for this semester

    Honestly, I can agree with being overworked. I am in an osteopathic medicine program and the long hours are rough. All my friends are enjoying their lives while I am stuck studying all day, everyday. However, I know that it will all be worth it in the end. Best of luck to you, Gracie! You got this!

    I am not from the US and here, a bachelor degree is done on 5 years. I had to finish mine BA before I could get into an MBA which was 30 months. Getting into an MBA program is hard and the first requirement here is to have a previous degree (you have to present your diploma). Did all those years while working full time, regular jobs because like you, I didn’t want to be another graduate without any work experience (another requirement for the master’s program). Keep it up, I can tell you that at the end it will all be worth it!

    Not gonna lie, this is how I am feeling with Virtual Learning. I only have 2 classes this term (which is 9 weeks, but as a senior, I only have 8 weeks, now 7 1/2), but i have one class i was supposed to take last year, but I was in IB DP (but due to covid, the program got cut mainly due to budgeting), but all my IB Classes took my entire schdule, so I am taking it this year so I can graduate. I feel like my 2 classes are going to go quicker than the past 3 terms. I feel like my assignments pile up quick. I get your struggles as a High School Senior, Senioritous has picked up, but also I am so close to May and am so close to graduation.
    No joke I made a daisy chain craft over my spring break and its making my spirit and motvation each day so much better.

    Love all your videos! I’ve been super stressed with work this week and I enjoy putting on your TH-cam channel and watching old videos. Taking time for yourself is so important. I plan little trips here and there with friends and it really does help.

    I'm loving this. Also, someone that was doing 2 Grad classes as an undergrad it was difficult. I also am doing Grad school Fall 2022 hopefully...which I'm nervous about because it's been 10 YEARS to 11 YEARS since I've been in school.

    Undergrad Vs grad classes are totally different in New Zealand too. I graduated with undergrad but had grad classes in my final year (3rd year papers cotaught with 4th year honours classes). The difference was how the assignments were graded and done. The 4th year assignment was more in-depth etc.

    Kind of in the same boat as you (graduating in 3.5 years with my Bachelors & Masters) except I applied to grad school after graduating undergrad in 2 years. And now I'm in my Masters program. I totally feel being stressed out but I know we all can do it! Good luck Gracie!

    17 credits? I’m really confused in Germany it’s common to take 30 per semester to graduate in time

      I don’t understand German so your question might’ve been answered, but in the US generally there tends to be quarter based and semester based schools which do hours differently, but I go to a semester school and 15 credits is normal for us (to graduate in four years) but some people go lower and some go higher.

    • @2134knees

      I did 12 most of undergrad but my last year and a half was 15 credits because I did a Major in Human Services with a Minor in Legal Studies.

    Is 70 people the size of the AMP program or is that the number of people with a marketing major in the AMP program?

    • @cheyennenavarro3313
      @cheyennenavarro3313 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think in the AMP program because she mentioned that she doesn’t know for certain because there are people in her grad classes that are not only AMP, but traditional 5th year/master’s students who already received their bachelors degree
