Hi, when referring to working in uk, if your line manager is not nurse but has other qualifications as a manager and someone has work in a health care setting for 12 months,will nmc accept letter from that manager.
If the qualification is NHS equivalent, they will accept, you can have a read on their website
Hi, I am from Europe, I did my nursing in a non speaking English country, now I work in UK for almost 2 years as Assistent Practitioner in a care home, the question is can I apply to NMC without Ielts/OET? Only with SIFE option? Thx a lot
Sorry for the late response. If your nursing degree or diploma was taught and assessed in English, then the SIFE is enough. Thank you
My manager has a Masters Degree, Health and Social Care Management and Policy which is equivalent to Band
7. Is it correct?
I do not have an idea please, I think your manager would know better; it’s not always just the certificate but the years of experience also matter in the band
Which ielts is required genral or academic
Hii jamie, currently i am working in care home as senior care assistant it’s more then 2 year and my manager is nurse but my home is residential not nursing home. Would NMC accept my English proof from my manager? My line manager is happy to give proof for me
I am sure they will accept as long as your manager’s qualification or position meets the NMC’s criteria
I wrote OET in July 2022 and I had 3Bs and a C+ in listening if I happen to re write OET now is it possible to combine my results
You need to write and know your results before you can combine

I an working in the care home for a year now, as a care practitioner and the problem is we dont have manager but we do have deputy manager who was working as a nurse and she has been recently appointed as a deputy. Can she fill sife form for me?

If her qualification is equivalent to NHS, then she can do it for you
