Hi Orchard Forex, at 51:05 you skipped showing us the OrderOpen() function code for MA Cross ZR.mq5. I am guessing it is below line 138. Do you show it in other videos ? Or is there a reason you cannot show it ? I am asking this because the OrderOpen() function code you showed for MA Cross ZR.mq4 does not work for the mq5 version. The OrderSend() built in function in mq5 need different arguments than the one in mq4.
Could you do a video on how to do effective backtesting on Metatrader such that it is (as much as possible) representative of real love market. Also how can one incorporate machine learning into an EA , which would involve integrating python into this ? Kind Regards Keep up the good work
Hi Orchard, I never thought that this channel also teach programming for MT4/5 which I really want to know for my Heding Strategy. I do have my own system where I can define the amount of profit (fix) if trap in range (multiple lots), and other options (spread, commission, exit trade option, RM). I would love to share mine, that will definitely improve the algorithm of this EA.

Question though, you mention the costs of supplements like Swap, commission and spread, and swap and commission is clear but if I set a certain TP value (for example TP at US$ 1.00010) and when taking a position with a Buy I accept the Ask price and with a Sell I accept the Bid price as long as that Ask or Bid price reaches my TP, I can’t see this as a cost. Or am I missing something here? Of course if I buy and sell right away I will lose the spread difference I understand that of course. I hope you or others elaborate on this question.

Yes they can be used with manual trades but not just as is. You would have to write code to detect the manual trades and then only use the management functions here.

I got it combination of the previous trades. Amazing concept. Id rather use a multiple account approach with small target and slightly bigger recovery zone.

The information are store in variables. 2 Why don't you use (in mql5) the buffer[n] to do the if to determine the crossover? But you pass the value to another variable? Thanks
1) covered in part 3 th-cam.com/video/pYebHdCO-X4/w-d-xo.html 2) Because that's the way I do it, makes the code more readable and consistent. I prefer not to use mql5 at all. It is more difficult to use and adds no benefits that I need.

@@DrawWithBrian Those functions are only used in the example expert. The subject of the video is the ZR classes. If you want to see the functions at 47:55 there are the MT4 versions and it's a simple conversion to change those to MT5.
Ahh yes that is the missing part. Function for Mql4 is located at 47:55. For Mql5, 48:56: I also converted this code to int in Mql5 ticket = Trade.ResultOrder(); ticket = (int) Trade.ResultOrder(); Now its working

The first point is at 3:29 where I am looking at the ZonePosition.mqh file. At 17:00 I say I'm going to switch to the ZonePosition_mql4.mqh file and your second bookmark is just after I switch to that file. The difference is because these are 2 different files. You can see it in the tabs at the top of the code screen.

How you successfully compiled the MA cross ZR.mql4 when there is an error ?
It compiles because there is not an error. On lines 84 and 87 that should be OrderOpen. Case is important.
So what is the meaning of OrderOpen and where is the declaration of OrderOpen?
