I looked at this clip again. I have heard Eden sing far better and she does sound a bit like a child in this piece. Ricky and Wally are wonderful performers. Eva struggled with everything - pitch timing - it is hard to say how good she is why not use Julia Barr instead) Tamara rocked she and Susan Lucci really were the best performance wise technically - Susan was the huge shocker because her voice is so different than her speaking voice. After hearing her Regis should give her star billing.

In 2002, the "Flannery" part was unintelligible. Everybody in the television production booth thought it was Susan Lucci who was named, and therefore cut to a shot of Lucci, cued the All My Children theme song, and told her to go on stage. Once the producers realized their mistake, they immediately cut to Flannery coming towards the stage, and Lucci returned backstage. The producers apologized for their mistake the following day.
In my opinion the top performers that night were Ron Raines,Wally Kurth,Ricky Paul Goldin and Tamara Tunie.Eva and Kassie are terrific singers in their own right but not here.It could simply be that they were having an off night or just not their type of song.
@Dizzybear Ron's technically got an awesome voice. The problem however was making it operatic off an Elton John song. NEVER overdo "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" to that extent by any means. If not, simply let Mr. John sing it from here on out. So let me join you in that minority, if you got room that is. LOL! Overall, he's an empowering singer I'm sure in his own right...just has to understand there are certain songs not requiring a high opera voice.
