My uttermost respect to these guys ... I can only imagine the glorious feeling upon completing the restoration. Looks fantastic outside and inside. Well done.
My grandfather was a M5 commander, in 45 his battalion switched to the M24. He said it was like going "from a Model T to a Mustang" but also said that because it technically had a 75, some less informed officers thought it was a medium and tried to put them in assignments that they shouldn't have been in
This is the Wargaming I know and love... such an essential part of the living memory of many tanks. Now just drops Crew 2.0 so we can all get back to enjoying the game.
Call me crazy if you want, but in around 1988/89, I was living in central Ohio and there a major railway crossroads of 3 rail lines. Conrail was coming through the downtown going Westbound. I was right at the stop arms and hear comes flat car after flat car full of tanks. I was like, those look really small compared to what I normally have seen. They were not as large as M60 or M48. There had to have been around three or 4 flat cars of the M24 Chaffee. Each rail car can carry almost 5 cars, so let's say each car carried 4. I'd say 12 to 16 and quite possibly more, came through. No way there were M60s. Certain they were not 48s either. They kind of had that look, but miniature. Like the M24. All looked to be in great condition, painted and starred. I wonder where they were going? Maybe just going for target practice somewhere. But there they were rolling on by. Amazing to see. Any ideas?
If only the Chaffee light tank was introduced abit sooner in the war, this tiny but mighty giant would have been very irritating more as a low-medium level Tank Destroyer than a Light Tank against most Panzers of WW2 or an occasional Tiger / Panther if it REALLY need be.
Was there a tea pot mounted inside? Wait a minute. You said do it the military way, the correct way. You were never in the military were you. There the right way, the wrong way and the military way.

Excellent video from start to finish. You fellows work so well together. Looking forward to the next tank. Cheers and thanks for sharing.!
Fantastic Video. Now, must you this Tank! Thanks WoT-Team
Amazing restoration in the CHAFFEE. KUDOS...
These are really great. Love Gavins commentary. Outstanding! Love the M24.
Props to those guys they did a magnificent job. Did they ever replace The Cadillacs with diesels in those tanks.
The fact that you can get in trouble for having a machine gun on top of A TANK is quite funny

Would a british Chafee have a US M3 Grease Gun SMG ?
i had the same thought about that!
So no BV here?
I just hope the lack of comment on the patch is wargaming re thinking and properly test the features.
:)
So WG... Why don't we have 2 drivers in this vehicle??
Was there a tea pot
mounted inside?
