- The death of a former child actor has been ruled accidental. Benji Gregory, whose real name was Benjamin Hertzberg, was found dead in his car in an Arizona bank parking lot in June. His service dog was reportedly found with him, also deceased. Gregory played Brian Tanner on Alf, which ran from 1986 to 1990. The show about a family that takes in an alien was a primetime hit. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
So he just sat in his car until he died? That doesnt make sense. Maybe the heat killed him but what made him decide to stay in the heat, thats not a normal human reaction
He was mental, for lack of better way to explain. It was sadly suicide, imho.

Sounds like he CS.

Oh, you beat me to it.
Prayers up for his survivors 🙏🙏
Thanks for the memories!
Alf was such a good show back in the day. How does one accidentally sits in a hot car long enough to die ?
Sad to say now, but most likely: drugs.
He probably didn't realize he was even in trouble until it was too late (if at all). Heatstroke comes on very quickly and causes confusion, lethargy, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, lack of coordination and eventually loss of conciousness. Once a person loses conciousness in that kind of situation it's over, the internal body temp will continue to rise and eventually organs start shutting down. And it can happen so fast, one minute you're totally fine and the next you're suddenly sick to your stomach and completely incapacitated.
Also, if I remember correctly, he had been living in his car, so he may not have had anywhere to go.
1:07 Benji Gregory was 46 years old.
How old was Benji the dog?
I remember when my dad showed me videos of this show when I was a kid
The wisest thing that should be on everyone's mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on the govt. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in Gold, Silver and digital currencies ,ETH...)
I had a lot of financial crisis then, I can recall when I was homeless and faced with many things in life until $75,000 biweekly began rolling in and my Life went from A homeless nobody to a different person with good things to offer.
Wow, that is huge, how do you earn that much in 14 days? I am 37 years old and have been looking for ways to be successful, please how??
I thank Laura Jennifer Reeves who has always been there to help me with detailed analysis and recommendations that I would not have had access to otherwise.
YES! That is exactly her name (Laura Jennifer Reeves). I saw her interview on CNN News and so many people highly recommended her and her trading skills❤️
I googled her and yes, she has captured my heart. She just got a new client
He was drunk and/or stoned out of his mind and the heat killed him.
I read Alf in the title and was hit with a wave of nostalgia which quickly turned to grief after reading the next few words. RIP Benji 🙏
damn
Rip 😢
Wow Not ALF WTF is going on over here ????
Rest in peace, Benji
Both of them died of heat exposure?! It’s crazy how heat can kill you 😭❤️

@@joshscallorn6104
Or to take a cold shower, a cold bath or to drink water ? I just don't get how some people would let themselves die instead or hydrating themselves... 🤦♀️
RIP gone but never forgotten
Rip even sometimes actors like Benji passed away from heat exhaustion must take the heat seriously now at least this time of year cold fronts come more often to bring much cooler and less humid air across US.
The dog died too. People have already forgotten that the heat deaths this year were exponential to previous years. Also, he was apparently living in his car. 😭
Accidental… why because the dog was with him? Sounds like self deletion to me!
They probably say accidental if they can't find evidence of planning.
No man this is so heartwarming 😢
gotta be illegal to be 36sec early 💀.
You must be kidding.

Hey, you're right. Why do they talk about it only now ?
@@shizukagozen777 Because they can. Preschools talk about dinosaurs with children every year even though they died millions of years ago...

WAW ! Thank you for that magnificent off topic reply. 👏👏👏
How does an adult accidently die in a car of heat exposure? You got AC, you got windows you can roll down, you got convenience stores every block where you can buy water. Doesn't make sense.
People wonder why he stayed in the car, but it's very likely that he was in the early stages of heatstroke, which can cause sudden confusion and lethargy. So he may not have even realized he was in trouble. With how quickly the stages of heat exhaustion to heatstroke pass, many people don't notice something is wrong until they're hit by the nausea and lethargy, if the dont cool down they can quickly become incapacitated (sudden painful muscle cramping, extreme exhaustion, blurred vision, impaired coordination and eventually loss of conciousness).
If I remember correctly, he had also been living in his car. If the AC broke or he couldn't afford to keep the car running he might have thought he didn't have anywhere else to go and just tried to ride it out until night time. Its just too bad no one noticed him there in time. Especially in a bank parking lot that should have security.
Arizona will do that to you. Give you depression and a bipolar disorder, I meant. Dying of heat exposure can happen anywhere.
I gotta say something, who died Harry potter, Maggie Smith, she did died And got killed, thank you everyone.
So sad. Did his dog pass from heat exposure to?
the dog didnt take the opiates
@@colinsellers1143 ok. I was just wondering
My mother in law loved that show, very sad to think of anyone and their service dog dying in a hot car
🙏 Prayers up for all affected by this loss.
My condolences to the family, rest in power! Benji!!
Damn. Crazy stuff. Wonder if he was on meds that made him drowsy.

He was my favorite child actor and also if your a Harry Potter fan dame Maggie smith died yesterday in the hospital
(former )I’m a puppeteer and I was a big fan of alp so this it hard
It's still sad that they never made a proper ending to the series. He just gets captured by the government and how he's trapped in pogs forever. All because probably the actor couldnt reprise his role all those years
RIP. I still talk about that show.
Rip 🥺 I loved Alf , great show
How sad. May he Rest in Peace.
