Love Blake, but he's got a weird whip style. Most people tend to turn their bars into the whip rather than against it. Doing it this way makes it harder to get the rear wheel back in line but it does mean the bike goes a bit flatter in the air which looks good!
It’s not weird, it’s just one variation. The video explanation is completely useless however, since he talks as if he turns the bars, when in reality he tables them.
How much does your foot position matter? Your right foot was forward to do a whip to the right. Would you put your left foot forward to whip to the left?
what confuses me right now is that to me it looked just like a carved tabletop instead of a "classic" whip you'd see at whip offs ? Is that just a fact where a carved tabletop is also a whip or am i missing something ? I'd be happy about any help or clarificaitons :)
@@CoachTrifes I was thinking the same thing. I’m no expert but to me a table top has the bars turning opposite to the direction of carve, just as shown in this video (carve left, bars to the right). But a whip begins with the bars ‘over turning’ in the same direction as the carve, the back swings out, then bring bars back in line, followed by bringing the back in line. I’m pretty sure Blake is describing a table top in this vid, rather than a whip
When i try to carve into my whip i end up dead sailoring but when i dont carve into a whip i end up being able to do it slightly. What am i doing wrong
@@iasha740 Agree here. extremely confusing. the whips he does on the footage compared to the hand motion he was showing off the bike were two distinctively different things. hope they can clarify :D
@@CoachTrifes In my honest opinion, this type of videos are entertaining but not a source of actual knowledge. Why are there tons of tutorials on the same thing in this channel? Because people like to watch them but they don't really learn anything new. I learned to bunnyhop, jump, wheelie, etc from small channels with people explaining their experience while learning the thing, not the big channels like this where they repeat videos one after the other just confusing the audience. Entertaining, that's all.
i noticed this as well. Neil and Blake have some really good advanced tips and tidbits but I have to go all over the place to get a complete tutorial. the Ben Cathro PinkBike series is probably one of the better ones
you're comfortable whipping the bike to the RIGHT because your front foot is your right foot.. WHY don't you guys mention this when you do these vids? ride "regular foot" with your LEFT foot forward? then a whip to the left will be much easier. if you're ambidextrous, go nuts!
What is a trick you've always wanted to do? Let us know in the comments below!
nac-nac, and no hands
Backflip
Can't Even Bunnyhop but still am watching this
To not crash, that would be an awesome trick to pull off.. In the mean time, I'll keep using my body as a crash pad.
Front flip but yeah. I'm now in my 40's and every previous attempt ended in catastrophic failure except once by chance on a airbag 😂
Blake is my favourite guide😊
Agreed
Pretty sure he's my lost brother 😂
I need this. I don’t know how to do any fancy stuff. I know how to pedal and sweat 🤣
Need more like this
Funny, I felt much more comfy on a dirt bike jumping. The transition is awkward.
Really clear explanation. I probably won't be able to learn it, but at least I'm clear about that!
Instructions unclear, im stuck in the microwave
Dishwasher, pls turn off the extra dry feature if you pass by
Howww you get in a microwave??????
For some reason I’m stuck inside of the Mona, Lisa painting
That was a great video, you make it look so easy. More more more please..
great video, helps

Way to destroy rims also given it wasn’t even straight when he landed.
DEVO, whip-it! whip-it GOOD!!!
Hey Blake when are you making that full suspension frame?
I am building one out of mild steel in my garage without a jig
Cool hwip 😉

Thanks Blake, that's some awesome whips, but can you nae nae? 😋 One day, if I'm lucky, I may have enough skill to at least try it
Let's see if if I manage to learn this without tearing the fourth ACL 😅.
There are two ways. The table whip. The turn bar whip. Easiest ways to describe them.

th-cam.com/users/shortskWbDKT6KELo?si=kkUT5oupmws5RIcg this is what I mean
I would like to see the Toboggan on a small jump.

Blake is doing one variation of a whip, but describing another.
Strange and probably confusing for people.
Carving off the lip is helpful, though.
reverse steering is how bikes turn/carve. He is doing fine.
But yes. there are multiple ways of hwhippang.
Yep, he is doing a table at the beginning, scrubbing the take off. This is not a normal whip.

lucky ppl i’m stuck with an xc hardtail and boring xc trails with no jumps
Imma run this by Jeremy SHOWTIME McGrath, see if he is right about these tips.
And also you need to flick the bike up when you are taking off
Sunny Wales, man these AI created videos getting out of hand 🤣
How to buckle your wheel 🔎

Looks more like a table top
I want to see a one hander pointing in the camera👉👉👈👈
On a 6min Video he‘s telling for 5min straight to carve an S before the jump
Where is the how to jump link though?
Spent as much energy moaning as you would have searching it yourself😂
There's a video about jumping every month, just look up
sorry bro you're really whipping at all, you didn't turn the front wheel at all...... and you're not bringing it back on the landing
i hate whipps
Why? I love them
@@Underdoglemon i love cross ups or table tops maybe im getting old lol
Unclear, ate dirt
Always posting the same videos.. zzz
