Well, it's been way over 7 years since The Polar Express hit the theaters and over 16 years since the book the movie's based upon was released, so I felt I should better make it a tribute, just because it's in my opinion the best Christmas movie ever made and one of the most awesome-styled movies. (I seriously LOVE this film, it totally blew me away on the big screen. Cheers, Chris A, Robert Z and Alan S, you're all genius!)

This movie still blows me away every time I watch it. I don't understand how critics find this movie "creepy and demented". Loved this movie for years and its a holiday tradition to watch it a few times before the holidays at my house.

What I love most about this movie is not only a beautiful CGI representation of one of my favorite real-life steam locomotives, but they set up the whole thing like an actual American passenger train (loosely, the closest thing to that hill is a wooden rollercoaster, and the only steam engines that skid over ice are Lombard log haulers), and really creates it's own environment, as well as the story's added depth that the book simply didn't have room for.
...And then there's the foamer kid. We all love the foamer kid.

The Polar Express is for all ages. You can watch the movie as an adult & nobody would scold or tease you for it.
we played this song in band and almost everyone that was a senior cried because it brought back memories from fourth grade.

This is the BEST Christmas movie ever to grow up with through elementary and in personal life! Just watched it in period 1 today in class! This came out the year I was born, the month after I was born. This will always be the most memorable, nostalgic Christmas movie ever with the best realistic animation! I remember, at my old school, on our last day of school until Christmas/winter break we would have pajama day, AND we watched The Polar Express, we would eat snacks like cookies,popcorn and we would have hot chocolate. We also could bring Stuffed Animals! Good memories..

This movie brings back great movie of when I was a kid back in 2004-2008 (Im in my mid-teens now) and I just love watching this every Christmas eve on T.V!
This song, as well as the movie, brings out the little 8 year old within me that used to get so excited over Christmas that he couldn't sleep till 10:30.

There is no way there ever ever ever going to top This, The polar Express. This is way too epic and outstanding amazing and a wonderful Christmas movie. Also the other thing is I do not want them to reboot this 10 or 15 years down the road. This movie is fine just the way it is.

2. on Christmas eve with you family, while the fire place is going, and then pausing it when the hot chocalate song comes on then going into the kitchen and making hot chocolate.Then drinking it during tht scene.

When I was younger I used to hate this movie because of the scene where the Hobo ghost decided to play with the Scrooge puppet in the broken toys car of the Polar Express. I was so traumatised by it. It was just really scary for me. It was one movie scene that I point-blank refused to watch when I was 4.

I grew up with it, i had it since i was a small kid
Be4 when i was in my room, i had a cooler thing, and then watched Polar Express, and bc the cooler was on, i really felt like i was in the film, because, my room is cold, and the scenario of the polar express was cold, and i REALLY missed that feeling ;(
this was my first ever movie to see in theatres and it made me sick, but i dont think i'll ever forget it. oh and by the way EPIC BAND PIECE! :)

@@Elfnetdesigns there are air conditioners in the train, remember how the boy found the girls ticket after the conductor tells the girl he forgot to punch the ticket? The girls ticket was getting sucked in by the air conditioner
@@coloradongguy No that's a low voltage DC powered exhaust fan in there. Back in the days of steam there was no way to power air conditioning in the coaches. Lights and fans were all DC powered by batteries on attached dynamos, heat was supplied by the locomotive as steam. cooking was done by non electric fuels and steam as well, while keeping foods cool was done by ice that was restocked at stations. Locomotive lighting was also powered by it's own dynamo and battery system as well. Later after the diesel came into mainline use with it's 600 volt and 3K amp generators was air conditioning and refrigeration added along with electric heat and cooking. Some even had steam generators to accommodate the older coaches steam heating needs This is also why many cross country trains had multiple units like ABA sets where the last A unit was more for 3 phase AC HEP and the two leading were for tractive effort (motive power). The last unit could also help with tractive power if necessary. Amtrak today on longer run trains use dual locomotives, one for main tractive power and the other for main HEP to power the coaches.
