That is awesome I'm just getting started with the airbrushing lures I fish alot so trying to find what works around my lakes and find a hobby during winter thanks again.
Nice pattern and thank for the tip on the hobby lobby ribbon tip. I a noob to lure making and painting and stencils are way to expensive, I find I find myself subconsciously always looking for alternative things to use. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Jack McCracken I have a question for you. When you get a bait ready to paint and it don't have a scale pattern on it and is just clear do you use some find sand paper on it before you paint it. Thanks
Hey dude I’m sure you already know this now but I am painting baits too and if you thin the paint and shoot on a lower psi you get a cleaner smoother look without little spots and you can spray a more straight or defined line
Loving your content, learning about spray painting or airbrushing so I can spray my own. Lures add my own touches and test them out myself. I was wondering what kit you use, 🤔 how you set it up. What air brush, compressor ect. Thanks in advance
Hello, great work and thanks you for your good tuto. I m looking a stencil like you are using in this video, can you help me to share where found this type of fabric or tissue ? cant found the same in my country.
I build 3D printed lures. When building the lure, where should the weights go and is there a formula for buoyancy/submerged/ weight allowance, when using micro balloons and resin to fill the cavity of the lure?
Zach I'm watching from the beginning because I haven't seen all of your tutorial looking forward to the next one , hint hint , have you heard about the new paint coming from Bait Blast , I'm happy with created . Just wondered if you had any thoughts on it , thanks .
Love the pattern, questions where do you get your eyes from and 2nd, how do you apply your clear coat, dip, brush or spray and if you could include the clear coating in your next vid. Clear coating is where I have most of my issues. Thanks
Art Fowler running at about 40psi. What do you mean by tip dry? As in the paint build up on the nozzle? When I switch paints all wipe the tip with a paper towel. Hopefully that answers your question 👍
Hey man really like your work, been wanting to do some myself with a buddie of mine. However talk is cheap lol. My question is do you have a site where I could order some of your stuff I'm looking for custom crankbaits painted similar to this one in the vid, but a few that dive 15 to 20 feet.
C Lo this bait and some of the other plastic bodies I use came from dingerbaits.com/ fantastic company and good prices. I do make my own cranks but haven't got them to the point worthy of selling. Let me know if that link doesn't work 👍
hey man i just got into lure building, but i cant find a place to get logo decals for them? like the one you have on the bottom. just looks more proffessional? and suggestions?
Karanzas Flyfishing I use water transfer decals. Also called water slide decals I believe. Same type of material that you get in the model car kits. I got mine off Amazon. Super easy to do. I love how clean the result is. Good luck!
@@BakerBuilds sweet yeah that much i understood =o) but did you print them yourself on waterslide decal paper? or did you order custom made for you from the get go?
That is awesome with the light blur that fades to purple and then the pearl black on the normal black
Love the tutorials looking to get a airbrush very soon. I've been using spray paint for swimbaits and I'm very limited.
Your video is so very educational and straight forward going thru every step of the way.
Enjoyed the paint work. Look forward to more, every informative.

I get it at Hobby Lobby. Around Christmas time I saw they still had it. Might check there.
Great job, just found your channel, and subscribed right away. Keep those videos coming. Also Happy New Year!
Scott B thank you!
Can you use a brush for the clear coat
What tape you recommend?
Do you thin your paints at all also what psi do you use the most for a project like this?
Definitely would be nice to know
Where would I buy the blank baits and eyes, hooks and rings
Do you ever outline the gills
Love the pattern, questions where do you get your eyes from and 2nd, how do you apply your clear coat, dip, brush or spray and if you could include the clear coating in your next vid. Clear coating is where I have most of my issues. Thanks
Andy O'Reilly Thank you! I get the eyes from Amazon! And yes, clear coating video coming very soon 👍
@@BakerBuilds Thanks for the quick reply.
How did you clear coat it
What did you mixed with createx color?? Reducer? Water?
Man I really love this video, do you mind if I ask what blanks you buy? I really wanna get into painting my own. Thanks in advance bud.
Wow, amazing video. I just subbed. You deserve more subs!!
ICYAngler thank you!
Really good video! Being a newbee, are you thinning out your pearls?
You started with a white coat of paint. Was it a primer paint or just regular basecoat?
Just regular white.
I have a video showing how I prep my baits. Check it out if you haven’t 🤙
Do you put ear flaps on your baits
Great video. What psi do you generally shoot at? How often do you have to stop for “tip dry”
Art Fowler running at about 40psi. What do you mean by tip dry? As in the paint build up on the nozzle? When I switch paints all wipe the tip with a paper towel. Hopefully that answers your question 👍
Thanks Zac, you answered both questions
So when you switch colors the only cleaning you do is clean the tip of the needle?
What primer do you like to use
I just make sure the bait is clean and then usually use a base coat of white. Seems to have worked good for me 👍
@@BakerBuilds thanks! One less thing to buy as I'm getting started!
Yo man where can I get the eyes you have or just a set with multiple diff sizes on one sheet
Mack Tidwell from Amazon!
Does the ribbon you used for this one have like a moss look/feel to it? The only ribbon I found at Hobby Lobby like that had a mossy look to it
Northfork Fishing12 mine was yellow with glitter on it. Does the mossy ribbon you found have really wide patterns?
Where did you find the fabric? What part of hobby lobby
Mike Pevine it’s a ribbon from the ribbon section 👌
