    i relate dude my mom makes me them all the time just for the mint water you may not want to put so much ginger and coriander cuz it overpowers the other fillings taste and also in the water add boondi so you can get the exact street food taste.

    Hi!!!! Eitan , love your recipes . Just one suggestion for this one i noticed that the puris were not very crisp on the top , you can achieve that by rolling the dough a bit thin and using coarse granules of semolina instead of the fine one. Keep up the good work. Lots of love.

    • @tjones7638

      What a backhanded compliment to the people of India... “sophisticated,” and “super hygienic?!”
      Praise the white savior, please! Sure this dish is a staple street food, but doesn’t mean that Indians have not perfected; elevated and served with a high hygienic standard in other avenues. These kinds of comments really diminish and devalue the culture of a country.

    • @letttmeexplain
      @letttmeexplain 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tjones7638 I think he meant Eitan's hygiene because he's always been messy in TikTok & Facebook videos, and he's really doing it properly in TH-cam..I think that's what it's about 😅

    • @aria1613
      @aria1613 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i totally understand where you’re coming from, but i think op is referencing the fact that the owner of the indian restaurant eitan frequented jokingly used to call the pani “dirty water” (possibly because of the color?) and i don’t think they intended to be offensive.

    Eitan i have some suggestions and points -Poori is not crispy its soft roll the dough more thinner and let it fry more
    -panni(u call as dirty water is yo thick) add more water to it
    -add Himalayan salt for tangy taste
    - if u would add fresh green gram sprouts or cooked green peas to your mashed potatoes.
    yum 😋 ultimate taste with crunch 😋 👌
    You would enjoy it more than 20

    It was so satisfying to watch the making of Chutney and the Pooris. Glad that you made it using Semolina instead of totally using All Purpose Flour. Next time, do give a try for *Pav Bhaji*. It's another favourite street food, famous especially in Mumbai, India.

    Hey eitan...I love your videos. I can't believe you got the pooris right. I can never get them right and I ended making a quick run to the Indian store to grab some. Just a note...Your water is a bit thick. Traditional pani poori water has a consistency of water. May be you can add some more water. I impressed u even made the water from scatch. I buy the pani poori masala and just add the power to cold water. I also add mashed chick peas to my potatoes. Pani Poori brings back childhood days in India. Loving all your videos....Congrats on the apartment.

    I love your recipes and I really appreciate your attempt at making this difficult indian snack. I hate to say this but it needs a bit improvement.
    The puri has to be absolutely crispy. And the tamarind-mint water has to be more watery. Rn it has the consistency of chatni.
    I'll be looking forward to you remaking this.
    *gives you a massive hug of encouragement*
    You're really the BEST 🤗😚

    And yes you can make potato in Bengali style in which "chola" is added I am sure that if you eat that you will love it because the Puri of the gupchup is very crunchy and the minti water is very sour and very very tasty
    You know what gupchup is the favorite food of Indian girls and they can eat all the Pani Puri which the shopkeeper (gupchup Wala uncle) have!!!!
