They might be gas guzzlers but hell that is what a real luxury car looks like. Better then any piece of trash they call luxury today. Beautiful Cadillac.
Mu uncle bought a new, gold 1969 Sedan de Ville and kept it pristine until his death 31 year later (with only 51,000 miles). I learned to drive in that car, it drove as if I was on a cloud, and it felt as spacious as a 2,000 sq ft home. Strong V8 and terrific memories.
Like driving a tuna boat. No feed back. No feeling. No response. Wallows and dives. Don't even think about turning. Seat have no support. Flat, yiu slide around holding onto thr steering wheel or the grab handles.
Stunning. I had the '68 but I loved the "candlestick tailights" of the '69. My neighbor had a '69 convertible and on a summer night, watching them glide up the drive, top down, Dean Martin singing - was GLORIOUS.
@@ms.annthrope415 I'll take that over a small, cramped, hard-riding subcompact. A '69 Cadillac turns just fine for normal and even abnormal driving. I have owned several '60s and '70s Cadillacs and have never slid around the seat.
I have a 1970 Fleetwood Brougham with just over 29K original miles. Wonderful road car. Very comfortable and a real conversation starter. Yes it is lick able.
What an unbelievable beauty. A rare Fleetwood Sixty Special with special-ordered leather interior, which makes this low production car even more interesting and valuable. Plus a phenomenal color combination that is extremely desirable.
Wow! That's a stunner. The paint is like glass. Love the old Caddys. I have a friend who (except for a couple of cars here and there) has always driven a Caddy. His first car was a '68 Calais sedan. He kinda made me a fan! I am on my fourth Caddy now. Great job finding quality cars! I'm impressed.
Yeah, The 1971 Oldsmobile 98, Buick Electra and the Cadillac DeVille WERE the largest of those models, And the FLEETWOOD versions of Cadillac would be 3" BIGGER than it's "C" body cousins. "Everyone" thinks that cars were "big" in the '50s, That's BS. Cars got to be the BIGGEEST thru the 1960s and 70s, until the '73 oil crisis. a 1971 Chevy Bel-Air is MUCH larger than a 1955 Chevrolet Bel-air.
1969, the ONLY year for those BEAUTIFUL red lanterns stop lights in the back!!!!! LOVED those, no other year were they THAT special. Plus, did this have the rubber strip on the inside the steering wheel to blow the horn? THATS the BEST place for a horn controller!!!!!
The 69-70 Fleetwoods might be the best fleetwoods. Like the steel roof of the 60-special. The vast majority were broughams. One thing, the rear is riding high, it may have had the rear springs replaced with DeVille springs, a common malady as these fleetwoods soldiered through the 70s.

Wheels & hub caps r the biggest PT of contention on any vehicle. Very subjective,Sometimes I have to have exactly what came from the factory & sometimes the factory look wasn't good.I don't mind those ..
Yeah, mine has the dish-like caps original to 1969. These caps look like the '79 wires. Honestly? I think it works well on this color combo. Wouldn't say the same for them on my triple-gold '69, but that's just me

These wheel covers are not from that era. I would say that the hubcaps are more from 1977-78 Cadillac. However, it’s one hell of a nice car. Johnny, Montréal, Canada 🇨🇦

Can anyone shed some light on why Caddy's of this lineage rarely blow cold A/C? The standard answer is, "probably just needs a charge." At least these guys didn't do that. I know there was a conversion from R12 to R134A. Maybe a lot of these didn't have the conversion? I just don't know. Anyone ? Based on the lack of wear on brake and gas pedal's rubber, those miles appear to be accurate I would think.
What color is the trim on the red leather? It looks yellow on the back of the front seat, my computer is throwing it off. Thank you, unusual not to have a vinyl top.
