@@mumrikvodnik the books. in moominpappa's memoirs, Little My is born when moominpappa is still a young moomin, having not met moominmamma yet, the joxter and the mymble having met just 2 days ago. moominpappa seemed to be moomintroll's age at the time, and says that happened a very long time ago. little my is in her late 20s or 30s. as for the comics and 2019 series, it's said little my was born extremely recently. so its either a 20 year age gap, or a 10-15 year age gap. sorry for the long reply lol im deeply invested in moomin lore
side note: moominpappa is portrayed as a youngish kid, i'd say 12 to 16, while joxter & mymble are portrayed to be adults- maybe early to mid 20s. not relevant i just found this interesting
Little My is born on a Midsummer's eve, and Moominpappa met Moominmamma immediately after the submarine adventure. They had Moomin in what? One year or two? If he's the same age as Snorkmaiden, the age gap is not greater than 3, max. 4 years I've seen couples with 10 years difference, so they're pretty normal to me
