Echo being the (comedic) droid of the batch for over 6 minutes

- Even though he's comedic, doesn't mean he still doesn't get the bad luck of a droid. He also does a lot of the stuff for them that a droid would do. So, I got the idea to make this, and well, I made it! I would have gotten it out sooner, but it got deleted and I had to start it over again. It is technically humor for Echo, but there was still humor scenes I didn’t include as it is also just about him being like a droid. I love Echo, not trying to be mean, just pointing this fact out. There were also scenes I was not able to include and all. And I did put funny subtitles, sorry if you find them annoying. Not the type of videos I plan to make really…just an idea! Well anyway, Hope you like it! Thank you!

My theory is that the writers have just kept it in a locked box, waiting for the perfect time to use it.

The ironic comedy - Echo spent his time as a soldier in the clone wars battling and blasting droids, yet in The Bad Batch he allies himself with several droids, dresses as one and is like one himself.
Not all droids are evil, and to see Echo’s character growth and development in this show was some of the best bits of it.
Agreed! I wish he would have had a much bigger role this season, BUT I STILL LOVE HIM!!! The poor boi has been through so muchhh!

It's true what Echo said about being worth more than 2k credits. To fully train and mature a clone trooper, it would cost 4,800 credits. Plus Echo's specialized training nets him at least 4,201 credits for his experiences.

Not to mention he was formally an ARC Trooper for a time and got a hold of a splicing tool as his replacement arm. I'd say three thousands was a bargain by haggling.

Even him going quiet after saying "Fives..." could have been something.
Also I know each character is only in one category but it's a bit of a missed opportunity to not have Echo function as both a Hero and Astromech in Lego Star Wars.

We didn’t get enough echo in this season. We should’ve had a whole lot when they met Rex.
I think Dave filoni also confirmed that Echo has a enhanced memory and can remember stuff better than most clones cuz if you go back through the bad batch the amount of memories he has from when he fought with the 501st before his exploding is amazing and he's able to go this happened and this happened at this time almost immediately he's able to tell you the exact date and time and remember exact details which is really cool cuz I remember going through the Clone Wars rewatching everything echo was the only clone that stood out to have an enhanced memory like there might have been others but he was the only one that stood out to me and what I mean by enhanced memory is he can remember a specific detail of a place a planet a building or of a grain of sand on his boots from the beginning of his training that last bit is a joke but what I'm saying is Echo was able to remember stuff way better than most clones so I feel like he was enhanced before he left his growth chamber or something I think he was always meant to join the bad batch even before Dave flown he was like oh he's going to be saved by the bad batch I think he had plans for the character before he started working on echoes final episode of the Clone Wars

I've often wondered why a prosthetic hand couldn't be fit over echo's one arm. Wouldn't be hard to make it so it could open up and allow for him to access computer terminals either
Probably has to do how the probe arm is connected. The nerves were probably replaced for the probe making it impossible to connect to a prosthetic. It would have to be controlled in another manner which might not be viable especially since he still wants to be a fighter.
I think he lost his arm so they gave him a part instead.
In theory yes, it would be possible to create a glove-like attachment for his probe arm that could function similarly to a hand. I'm already visualising how that could work. However, he's a soldier in a unit where they have enough fighters and his probe arm and cybernetic interface are incredibly handy (lol) when it comes to computer systems. Simply put, having the hand attachment for his probe arm would be a personal convenience at best, and only once he'd learned how to use it. Between the materials and time it'd take to build and test, learning how to use it and then having to ensure he doesn't leave it behind in a combat zone, it's not worth being able to pick up a fork with a right hand instead of his left.

I think it is a mix of we had a good amount of character development in the Clone Wars and that he is probably also traumatized after the events of his captivity. He did open up a couple times but stayed shut off for the majority. I agree, hopefully season 2 has him come out a bit more with his brothers. I understand if he remains stoic in the presence of others.

@@a.j.5380 Well, He has is helmet on. Maybe underneath he was looking sad, but we couldn't see it. Maybe it's too painful for both of them so they don't want to talk too much about Fives. They are soldiers since birth, emotion is not something they easily display or want to show because they were never encourage to show their emotions, I think (for example, Rex was crying underneath is helmet during the last episodes of clone wars, we have seen it only because Ashoka removes it). It must make them inconfortable to talk about him, especially with the others not too far from them (they don't know Fives), so in my opinion, in this scene, to tell so little about Fives is logical for Rex and to not say a word is logical for Echo, as well as the fast change of topic, because they want to avoid this sad topic which is Fives' death.
But if we can have a scene in season 2 where Echo talks about Fives, maybe to Omega, and where we can see how much he miss him, it will be wonderful. Echo is my fav

But uh I fear that Tech will be killed off next series, or that something will happen to him-
Reasoning:
Echo wouldn’t be killed since he’s already technically died and has been through a lot, and was not one of the original bad batch.
Wrecker wouldn’t be killed off since he’s the comedic relief, and has already been through executing order 66.
Hunter wouldn’t be killed off since he’s the leader of the squad and the main Batch member (according to the show) and is the father to Omega
Omega would not be killed since she’s basically the focus of the show, and is needed to keep the show rolling.
Crosshair wouldn’t be killed since he’s the main antagonist and is technically not a Bad Batch member anymore.
Aand who does that leave? The one who, according to the trailers, looks like he’s going to be more of an important character in Season 2?

I also love his character design. The others are kind of a bit over the place, but his is simple: the only difference between his design and a normal clone is that he has to work around his modifications.

@@Commanderbaggins I think we only had 3 hours of screen time with episodes he was in before the Tarken episode and he didn't get that much talking time then, but enough to fill out his character. I wouldn't say it was a large role, but it was a role. Fives had much more of a role. Here, he was one of 6 main characters and I think this had every talking line in the show and half of this video he was emoting without speaking.

It's funny that Echo was sold off for only 3000 credits. That's only marginally more expensive than one B1 battle droid (1800cr) and an E-5 blaster (900cr).

Not to mention that echo and and fives were the only ones of their squad to survive the seperetist raid on the rishi moon outpost and cos of their bravery Anakin and Rex got them to join the 501 legion
