18:32 A bit hard to complain about him passing on the apron when you're weaving and blocking is the only reason he's down there lol. I mean, Nascar don't like it but there is a bit of karmic synergy to it.
To be fair i had like 15 Seconds of damage so having no car behind me i would have dropped so fast (Guy behind him went with him) so i was sitting duck really had no choice but to block that run on the high side but i never expecting him to go for the apron :/ if anything if he did ever have a nose on me i would have let him up but he stayed down there, As for blocking know it's a bit aggressive but its for the 500 lol but you live and you learn.
16:10 Sporting Code 8.1.1.8 "Drivers can only use the racing surface for Qualifying and Racing. The apron is not defined as racing surface. Drivers may not use the apron to gain an advantage in Qualifying or Racing. Any advantage will be determined by iRacing.com. A protest may be filed through the proper channels for this offense (See Protests, Section 9)."
This was posted on the forums in regard to that clip: "There are no yellow line rules in iRacing, ovals. If someone does go off track to pass they must return safely. If they cause a crash by returning unsafely they may be protested for reckless contact. Best regards, Nim"
If they can add black flags for blend lines out of the pits and joker laps, they can add black flags for gaining under the double yellow. And they need to. Though anyone who takes iracing serious doesnt go down there to pass
I know Furtive is new to iRacing and trying to bring people in, think that's great, but that failure where he started talking about taking tires in VRS sprint to undercut the lead was hilarious. First, you don't even take tires in sprint, second he botched the pitstop horridly, third, he wrecked coming out of the box. I could not stop laughing, but keep up the community building Furtive.
the biggest fail of the week definitely came from racespot and losing the stream with half a lap to go in the peak series and everyone missed the live call of the race finishing
@@everydaygamer8860 What's he committing to a gap like that in the first place for? He's a lap up according to the overlay, I think he can afford to hang back for a further 2 seconds and make a safe pass. And even if he was going to lose the lap advantage in a pitstop / driver change, it's still stupid.
I know this is 3 months old but let me shed some light on that: Oval racing is fun to drive, because it requires a lot of finesse and strategy. If you fight your car, you'll wreck your tires and fuel. There's also quite a difficult art to letting go of the gas at the right time and ending up with the perfect corners lap after lap after lap. There's loads of strategy on when to pass, when to sit behind and enjoy the drag, when to pit, etc. Watching, on the other hand, is dead boring. You watch a bunch of cars go round a circle for 2 hours. Yay..!
15:50 This lad needs to chill. Learn how to deal with pressure bro, you probably even lost the race due to the huge amount of unnecessary steering wheel movement and not because the other guy went ''out of bounds''. I might be wrong, I'm not very familiar with the oval racing.

Nim clearly stated that only high banking aprons are a no go area. In flat parts of the track your only responsibility is to rejoin safely.
9:11 when you want to race the old Spa.
Isn’t that where the F1 cars go?
The guy at 9:17 sounds like Alonso complaining to McLaren lol
Wait....wait...theres a twitch channel that does a commentary on bottom split? That's perfect!!
m.twitch.tv/bottomsplit/profile
yes, the youtuber championship clip from one of the best episodes as well
TWENTY-ONE-NINE?! I AM SEEING THAT LAP!!!!! ~ Matthew 'Rageaholic' Gallagher
This channel is the highlight of my week lol.
gotta love the youtuber championship cameo
bottomsplit is easily the best iRacing streaming channel. Too damn hilarious every time.
At 17:25 when the kid said he had no chance of getting 1st place and went from 4th to 1st on a wreck. That’s prime validation hahaha
The "Ericsson hit us" Meme is still alive
2:07 ayyyyyyye my ten minute thrown together paint scheme I did for my buddy made it in!
That PEAK wreck looks worse and worse the more I look at it.
I think Malik Ray might just be my favorite Peak driver.
Can't believe the leader let the last guy win because he let off too much on the back LOL
Bottom split is back and in midseason form
HELL YEAH

Bruhhh the side draft skills by Malik Ray at the end were fuckin sick
TFW all the clips from the Peak race are here except Hugos power going RIPand killing the stream on the last lap thank you lord :D
00:00 me playing dirt for the first time
No headphone warning for Malik Ray at the end? I'm ashamed.
Malik comes with a headphone warning by default
It's amazing seeing some of them made the mistakes themselves and then complain. lmao
0:45 thats why you never go low
lol
More like "Check up if you see a wreck a few cars in front of you instead of expecting to be fine."
Ben makes an appearance on Auzcast, not for iRacing tho lol
If you're referring to Ben Daly (a.k.a. Tiametmarduk) it was actually Aarav who set the lap of Matt Gallagher's reaction in the clip
20:07 Every Sr Pelo scream be like
dude is this a channel commentating and broadcasting the bottom splits of races? i need to sub...
At 2:20 that was partially kirkwans fault, just because he waited to check up at the last second
legend!loved that you use xmattyg
the biggest fail of the week definitely came from racespot and losing the stream with half a lap to go in the peak series and everyone missed the live call of the race finishing
Love your channe, KEEP THESE COMIN'
Is boolsheet
It really is :D
I not crazy!
14:24 he channels his inner Johnny Gibson
That's what I was going for lol
i feel oval racing is only for the memes
Not putting the bottomsplit guys calling the suicide prevention hotline? 🤔🤔🤔
6:08 look mirror, guy behind go to crash in grass, hahahahahahahaha
He barelly crashed into the guys behind me
8.57 what are the odds, the same thing happened to me lol.
5:17 what the hell was he thinking?
Everyone move out of the way for me pls I am an LMP1 driver
He thought the pork was going to stay high but it moved down when he was committed to the gap
Usual braindead DJG stuff

*Fatality*
19:30 it's always Ericksons FAULT.
mazacanne estaba de visita en daytona? digo, por los ladridos
19:26 Romain Grosjean moment
Nice vid dude
How do some of these guys have custom spotters that say their name
Check out "Crew Chief".
It works with iRacing, Assetto Corsa, PCARS 1 and 2, RFactor 1 and 2, etc.
The program gets updated reguarly too btw
Not on iRacing . . Do you have to listen to these people while you're racing?
14:16 Mmmmm... okay
They should just replace the truck series commentators with the bottom split commentators. A lot more excitement out of them than those guys
I see the guy at 3:51 a lot on these kind of videos, incompetent
Colin Kennedy thanks ;) that was me
Whats the point in oval racing? You dont need to change gears for like ever

15:37 xmattyg. Now WTF1
i gave to the second 1 sec lol in quali
Find Heikki360es, he is a good pilot in Spanish
Lol Quirk
The first 3 and half minutes aren't even highlights. They're just wrecks. Like literally just wrecks with a streamer nearby.
That's literally what a highlight is
Bark
These clips were a massive downgrade

Good that you decided to offer your two cents on it even though you don't know much about it though. Checks out!
