Hello! We live in Japan with two Asian Small-Clawed Otters.
Kotaro: Male, DOB 11/10/2017
Kotaro has a scar on his tail from being bitten by another otter when he was still a baby.
Hana: Female, DOB 11/24/2018
They have been toilet trained; they use a special pad that is designed for small dogs.
Since I'm using a translation function, my sentences might come out strange.
Please provide me with corrections if anything is translated improperly.

This get together with Komugi, and the recent one with Aty really shows how close Kotaro & Hana are. The way they stick by each other is precious 💕
I also love watching the two different behaviors between aty and komugi. Aty is like, "lets play come along!", while Komugi is like, "fine you dont wanna play ill just stay here then :/ ".
Komugi is a nice boy, he used to show his readiness, open arms to the kids as well as their daddy when they approach him. He loves the host family, adapted well to the new environment, and enjoyed the delicious food without hesitation. He behaves as the family member, and take a nap there 😂 😘
Komugi is showing all signs of respect and well manners an otter can do, time will help to conquer the hearts
It’s a bit sad they didn’t play with Komugi. I think Komugi and Aty will be good friends. They are both friendly type and Komugi looks so much like Hana, Aty’s first love.

Komugi feels so much at home in Hana's house. I feel kinda sad that Hana did not play much with her brother...
It wasn't enough time
I honestly think they were being territorial. I think this could've gone over better if they maybe were outside on neutral grounds like a park or lake like with aty 😭
But from loutre's video, actually, Hana picked komugi up to go upstairs. So at least Hana still welcomed him anyway

@@cindykusnadi4901 no she didnt. hana was mean but she always mean to guest otters. i think komugi was watching his back most of the time. i felt bad for him.
Komugi is a sweet boy. He and Hana have the exact same black mole on their mouths. I wish she would have been a little nicer to her brother. She did the same thing to Aty. Maybe she thinks she needs to protect Kotaro for some reason. Still all sweet babies.
Of course she protects Kotaro, he's Hana's partner. I'm kind of glad that she does, since so many people usually comment on how mean Hana was to Kotaro, while she was just showing normal behaviour towards him, or how they weren't behaving like a real couple, more like siblings. No, Kotaro and Hana are actually a couple, they are very fond of each other and dependent, and when the chips are down, Hana protects Kotaro the same way he protects her, and defends their home against invaders.
It's a bit of a shame that their meeting didn't go as well as the meeting with Aty at the riverside, but that's to be expected when one of the parties is at home, instead both on equal, neutral grounds.

Komugi is a very social type and very relaxed. He quickly adapted to the new environment. It is as if he is the host, and the guests are Hana and Kotaro. Hana you have a beautiful brother! I hope Kotaro will not be jealous. In the end, they all fit in nicely. They should see each other more often. Yet Hana and Komugi are sister and brother. It was wonderful to watch you together! I send a lot of greetings to my little sweethearts!♥

Their reluctance to embrace Komugi might be more to do with their territorial instincts. Seeing him as an intruder. Perhaps they should meet on neutral ground for better results.

Poor Komugi ;( They are animals/beasts after all, being territorial and distant towards a new visitor is totally natural. Maybe 30 years later after otter domestication becomes more common we will see them behaving like puppies lol

I think a few more play dates to get used to each other and they'll probably start playing together. Kotaro and Hana, from both Aty and this, seem like they just need time when not in their comfort zone.

Komugi💜🐾🦦is really friendly and relaxing in Kotsumet home and Family....but is sad when Hana💛and Kotaro💚 don't want play with him....maybe need spend more time with another otters and playing by the river with them so will be more friendly...in our human world we need a friends too and meeting or talking with them....what a nice moment when they are in picture together 💛💜💚🐾🐾🍀
