    From G8: “Hi, I thought the video was very good because it inspired me that kids can actually learn without complaining that it wasn’t perfect at the start. This stuff used to make me go boom in disgust, complain[ing], and sorrow. Your daughter practices pretty good. My mom is going to get me that book. I didn’t force her. I said please. Thank you or something.” 🤣🎉😍😂🐙

      Oh this is the best!! Tanya and G8, thank you for sharing your thoughts. G8, I'm glad your mom is going to buy you this book. Tell her to wait just a little bit because I have a giveaway for two of these books coming up really soon. Of course, you can buy it now, and if you win you can choose one of the other books from Hawthorn Press. My children and I love this book, so I think you and your mom and your siblings will like it, too. I plan to make more of these tutorials, and I'd appreciate your thoughts on it, G8. I'm glad you were polite when you asked your mom :)

    PLEASE do more real time videos like this!!! It totally totally helps newbies like me!!!!! I believe there is this misconception with Waldorf home Education that the process of the lesson is as flawless as the completed candlelit lesson book pictures posted on Instagram. Seeing and hearing you go through the lesson with your children and hearing their questions and responses and her coloring with brown TRULY gives me confidence that I actually AM doing this homeschool thing well and that I CAN do it!!! THANK YOU FOR THIS REALITY!!! 💕💕💕💕👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻✨✨✨

      I'm sooooo glad you shared this with me. Isn't it funny how sometimes it's just one small bit of inconsequential information that changes someone's understanding completely? I've experienced that before where the person had no idea he was helping me tremendously regarding how to set up a homeschool day with block style learning. That bit of infor changed our whole homeschooling journey. So thank you! It reminds me that sharing these real time videos allows everyone to see the sometimes no-so-obvious aspects of schooling.

    Beautiful :) I love this! I recently did some form drawing with my very active 6 year old who rarely sits still for any kind of table work. She loved it. It really engaged her. It was lovely to share such a meditative activity with her.

    • @PepperandPine
      @PepperandPine  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Isn't it surprising?! It wouldn't seem like it at first, but it's amazingly meditative in a way that focuses the mind. Once the forms are learned, I feel the heart takes over and the artistic enjoyment is experienced. I'm so glad your six-year-old is finding this beneficial. I hope you've given it a try too :)

    Would love to watch more of these tutorials. Thank you for the video. I guess it helps older grade kids too.

      Yes! My 11-year-old is loving the form drawing lessons and my 6-year-old is starting to feel annoyed by that. Now that we've completed 8 lessons, she asking for it be something just for us and not her brother. I'll be releasing all the tutorials in the coming weeks :)

    So glad you showed a way to teach the form drawing in a fairly easy way! It sounds silly but I was over complicating form drawing (didn’t think that was possible 🤦🏼‍♀️😂)

    • @PepperandPine
      @PepperandPine  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe I'm over simplifying it! I know you can do a lot more. For instance, the kids can walk the form in an open area, draw it on the chalkboard, and draw it in the air with their hands or noses! You can add a story to the form, like something about a mermaid for the wavy lines or a story about a maze for the spiral. Whatever you do, at least do it! I totally wish I had done more form drawing with my kids all along. Having a book like this, outside of a curriculum, is ideal for getting you to do form drawing regardless of which curriculum you use.

    I love your block and stick crayon roll pouch. Did you make it?

    • @PepperandPine
      @PepperandPine  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! I made the one out of felt, but the crocheted one I purchased from a local Waldorf school. Here's a tutorial on the one I made, but you can also make it more simply without the colored pockets.

    • @PepperandPine

      Salam Sabiha, you can do form drawing as a unit for about 3-6 weeks, or you can add it to the start of your lessons (especially easy to do in 1st-3rd grade). I did it as a unit before, but now I think I'll pull it out periodically to do.
